I normally play at Caesar's Palace and Cosmopolitan but This trip I'm pretty PISSED OFF at CET so going avoid them this trip.

Cosmopolitan is still good but not a lot of people

I'm thinking I'm going to give most of my Play at MGM/Mirage property so MLIFE.

Which ones do you like for Baccarat and BlackJack? I might book a room here too. I've stayed at all three and was not to impress with the rooms. Think Cosmo was better than Bellagio and Aria. But MGM sky Loft was the only rooms I liked.

    Bellagio
    MGM Grand
    Aria

I'm a High Limits player so I want to play in a HL room. I'm asking as which should I send my FM to.

The three above are the three MLIFE properties that fit my needs. Any other ones the VMB likes?

    Thanks for your input.

Of those three, I would probably rank them Aria, Bellagio, and then MGM. I like Bellagio slightly more for bac, but I like Aria more for blackjack. I think the bac dealers, especially day shift, are a bit friendlier at Bellagio. But I like the HL rooms at Aria better

Aria has the best baccarat HL, IMO. Wynn is okay if you want to try them, but is not as lively as Bellagio or Aria.

If you can get a Skyloft, hard to beat.

Agreed! I stayed in one for the first time in April and was blown away. But since the OP was only asking about the high limit rooms, I still rank MGM Grand third of the HL rooms the OP identified

I think it would help to know what average bet you like to make. Every "high limit" too doesn't have the same mins so to steer you the right direction, that info could help.

That is the reason I asked. I can get a SKY LOFT but that would mean I would need to send my FM to the MGM grand and gamble here.

Like UKFanatic stated it is the last of the bunch.

RiddickBull pointed out Aria but I lost $20k at Aria last trip. I like the HL Baccaract at Aria but Hate the rooms.

I like the Bellagio HL area but it is usually slow there too. and I'm not to impress with the Rooms I get at Bellagio.

So it seems that MGM Grand really wants my Play is the reason I can get a SKY Loft.

jdvegas you are right SKYLOFT is hard to beat but the HL area has gone down hill at the MGM Grand.

Thanks for the input. I'll you guys the TR when i go.

I'm booked at Cosmopolitan so I'm set on the room. Just want to book at MLIFE as a stand by.

Got it. I thought you were just asking about the HL areas. Well, the Skyloft is hard to beat. Like JD and Skadoo mentioned, the date you go and your average bet make a big difference in whether you can get a Skyloft. I find the limits in the MGM HL to be generally higher than other places, even on non-event weekends. But it sounds like you're saying they have already offered it to you (which also means the MGM limits are no problem for you). If so, I say cancel Cosmo and take it. The Skyloft absolutely blows away the wraparound suite at Cosmo (which is what I have stayed in there). Plus, you mentioned that you're not keen on a slower HL room like Bellagio. If that is the case, then avoid Cosmo! Their two HL rooms are crazy slow. In terms of action/number of players/general activity, I would put it on par with the Mirage or Mandalay Bay (which means it is behind Bellagio, Aria, MGM, Wynn, Venetian, and what you're accustomed to at Caesars Palace). The last time I played at Cosmo a couple months ago, on a Saturday night I was one of eight players in the Talon room and I would guess there was maybe another eight in the regular high limit. Basically, everyone gets their own table if they want it, lol. I like Cosmo, but not for the high limit room. Between a Cosmo suite and a Skyloft, its no contest.

Yes since I'm going to be there Midweek I can get the SKYLOFT but they are kicking me out on Friday at 11am. NO late check out They made that very clear if I was to stay at the SKYLOFT it is til Friday morning only.

I'm going by myself. The SKYLOFT is pretty nice but is going to require at least 4hours of play a day for me.

The Limits are fine for me at the HL rooms so not a big deal. Just if I'm the only one playing I can go thru a Baccarat shoe in like 20-30 mins. That is why I like other players as it slows my play down.

Still mad at CET right now so still trying to get this resolved. Thanks for your input. I have not changed my reservation with Cosmopolitan since I will give them some play so will see.

I have not booked a room at MLIFE yet. I'll see where to send my FM and may just do that and gamble at Aria or Bellagio. If I stay at SKY LOFT then I'll send my FM to MGM Grand, but like I said since I'm going mid week I'll more than likely be the only one at the table.

I preferred to be the only one playing in Blackjack but not Baccarat.

I did book a room at Caesar's to collect some offers but will not give them any play this trip.

Thanks again. I'll keep you update with the TR and I'll try to take pics.

UK (and everybody) help me remember. Isn't the HL room at MGM the Mansion? That's the only HL area I recall being in when I'm at MGM.

Pphold, I'm sorry to hear you're down on CET (but I understand; I'm not a fan either) because I think the bacc dealers in the CP HL are some of the most personable in Vegas. Nobody else offers to bring me a blanket to the table!

That's what I have always assumed. The Mansion entrance is on one side of the HL room and the other entrance is from the main casino next to Crush

Sorry, I misspoke. I omitted the word "casino"....I was trying to remember if the Mansion casino is the same as the MGM high limit room. It's a lonnnnnnnng walk from the casino floor back to the mansion. Skylofts are more convenient to the main casino floor.

I was Treated by a very RUDE CET employee at Harvey's in Lake Tahoe. You are right CP HL has some of the best Dealers. I've known them for over 20 years of gambling there. They will get or do almost anything. I will have to see how CET is going to handle my complaint. Since my trip is in 20 days that might change, So will have to see.

The HL room at MGM Grand is called the Mansion.

jdvegas had a picture of it on his TR

I've added it below. Copy from jdvegas's TR.

Yes, the Mansion casino is, I believe, the HL casino that you can also access form the main casino floor. And you're right, its a bit of a walk from there to the Skylofts :faint:

why not try a one bedroom skysuite at aria. not as nice as skyloft, better than wrap around at cosmo. Easy to jump ship to play at cosmo and mlife.

    1st world problems!

If you think other players are a nuisance and like to play alone - Wynncore, Palazzo/Venetian
if you like the camaraderie - Aria, Bellagio, Caesars
If you like others to sit along but keep to themselves - MGM Grand

Up in the air - Mandalay Bay. I ventured there during the day time and most of the time it is dead quiet so don't know how is that like during the night time.

***Isn't this supposed to be in the Casino Gaming section?***

Never played or have been in the Mansion. I think I will play there this weekend. Always play high limit at Wynn. Can anyone play there? Do I need a jacket? Is it casual? How do I get to it? Where is it? I haven't been in MGM for years. I will be staying at the Aria this trip.

Its the same as any other HL room. I wore shorts there every day this past weekend. But I am terrible at describing how to get there. If you walk into the casino form the main elevator bank, you will first see the concierge (I think). Behind that is the high limit slots. Beyond that is the hallway with Grand Wok, Crush, and Robuchon. The HL room is between Crush and Robuchon
