    My Trip Report

I've never done a live trip report before, but I enjoy reading everyone else's so I'm gonna give it a shot.

This is my third trip of 2014 and I will be traveling with my girlfriend. We are booked in a Bay Suite at MandalayBay with 2 nights comped, and 2 nights at $39 a night.

We plan to enjoy the food and entertainment this trip instead of the usual marathon gambling. We might even make it out to the pool a couple of days.

It is currently 7am and we are through the TSA pat downs and waiting at the gate for our direct DFW-LAS flight on American Airlines. We used miles for this trip, so these tickets only cost us $5 total.

I'll try to update as much as possible, and hopefully include pictures as well.

On the plane and looking over the booze menu. It doesn't leave for 25 more minutes but almost everyone is already seated so we might get out of here a little early.

I love these Boeing 757's. So much room!

Okay, but we don't want to hear you whining about any big gambling losses. If you do lose big, go to bed. Wake up in the morning and look in the mirror. Then turn and look at your girlfriend in the bed. You will then realize you are THE BIGGEST WINNER. Have fun on the trip and enjoy every minute of it.

Definitely take some time out for the pool. It's one of the best aspects of MB!

My buddies from San Diego was just up in Vegas and had a blast but said it was HOT. Leaving this Cloud cover in Dallas for some sun might be a good idea. I try to get the Wife to go to Vegas but she would not because of the Heat so we are going to Lake Tahoe instead.

Enjoy the pool at Mandalay Bay. I only get a room there to use the Pool. I have never stayed in the room but I like the pool.

Keep up us to date on the trip and win some cash.

Think I'm going to head to Shreveport with all this gambling talk I can't wait til Next week. Actually a few days.

Just landed! Flight was a bit delayed due to a maintenance issue, but no big deal. We had orange juice and Tito's on the plane so we are ready to start our day! I also finally saw the Hoover Dam from the plane. We never seem to fly over it.

Got our luggage and took a taxi to Mandalay. This is the first time that I wasn't tunneled! Fare was $16 and I gave him a $5 tip.

We checked our luggage at the bell desk and went to the Mlife desk to get our MyVegas Shark Reef rewards. Then went to the box office to pick up our LOVE tickets for Monday night. Now we are at Original Chicken Tender in Luxor waiting on our chicken tenders.

Finally got to the room. My comp was for a Spa Suite. I asked for a strip view at check in, but unfortunately these don't come in the strip view variety. So I'm on the 8th floor and have a view of THEhotel/Delano and the Luxor. I can also see the Palms in the distance.

I attached pics of the room below. It's a weird layout but the room is fairly good size. It has a lot of weird mirrors around the room and in the corners. Very strange. The one thing I dislike is it doesn't have floor to ceiling windows which I've become accustomed to. Fortunately the girlfriend likes the soaking tub. Otherwise, very nice room!

We did Shark Reef and it was pretty cool, but I'm glad it was free. It's not very long, so it's really not worth $18 per person.

We also walked across the street to the liquor store to get a bottle of Ciroc and some Mountain Dew for the room.

On the way up to the room, I hit for $40.00 on a Michael Jackson penny slot playing 40 cents a spin while watching part of the Columbia vs. Uruguay soccer game.

We are just hanging out in the room until dinner where the plan is to head to Hussong's since we have a $100 resort credit that we need to spend through.

We also have the Fuel the Duel MyVegas reward that we are using tonight at 9.

Unfortunately it's a 750ml, so we definitely got taken. $47 is better than $500 at the club, I suppose.
