I need some advice on where to stay for one Sunday night in October. I've stayed at Aria before and absolutely loved it! I have an Mlife offer for $75/night at Aria Sunday - Thursday and Travelzoo has a deal for $79/night Sunday - Thursday at The Signature at MGM. It's for me and a friend who has not stayed at either hotel. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

The Aria offer is for a Deluxe room and the Travelzoo deal is for a junior suite.

Signature is a larger room, not as nice quality wise in my opinion, but has a lot more space/stuff in the room. The problem is the location for me, its far from the casino, and you gotta cab or waste 10-15 minutes walking somewhere.

Aria is right in the middle of the action, the room is big enough... but theres no place to lounge in it like the signature.

gaming luck/preference > location to stuff I like > accessibility > quality of room > size of room > price for my vegas trips. I think everyone will have a different opinion on this one.

I would say Aria if your friend hasn't been to Vegas much. Easier access to more things to do and see. And it is cheaper. The hotel is far better, signature has no casino and is a good hike to the MGM Grand casino. Aria has really comfortable beds too.

I agree with this unless you and/or your friend are really, really cheap. I was with a group once that insisted on doing MGM/Signature because of things like the food court and proximity to Hooters for $3 blackjack. Both of these are fairly dumb, but if your friend is the type who's going to care about it for whatever reason, then at least make sure you know what you're getting into, because Aria is going to be more expensive once you get outside the room.

Otherwise, Aria is by far the superior property in almost every regard.

Aria, unless there is a compelling reason to stay at the Signature. The balcony isn't worth it, the room is not as nice and the location is marginal.

Aria. Its much nicer from what I hear (never stayed at Signature). I think Aria is a better in regard to location on the strip if you want to visit other resorts. I think you would be limiting yourself by staying at the Signature.

If you want to stay in hotel without a smoke filled casino and you don't want to be in the middle of it all, then the Signature. If you want to step off the elevator into the casino and be very close to the crowds on the strip then Aria.

I agree! I prefer being closer to the strip.

Have stayed at both and had a great time at each spot.

Agreed, Aria is closer to the action and newer. Depends what you like. I prefer getting off the elevator and being right near the casino.

Sig is a bit of a walk, but it's not that bad. My room had a balcony which was a bonus. Two huge bathrooms (and showers) and a bedroom and pull out couch is nice if you're going with a friend and want some space. The kitchen was nice too. The main dif is the room size so if that's important to you, then go with the Sig.

But, for a first timer, I'd stick with the Aria since it's right on the strip.

My wife an I have been many times to Vegas, so for our trip in August we are staying at the Signature. We have seen it all on the strip before so our plan this time is to enjoy some peace and relaxation during the day and then take a taxi to where we decide to play for the night. This way we get two different vacations in one.
