New 12-day quest. Similar format from past quests...750 LPs each day you complete. Anyone tried it yet?
To answer my own question and provide some data, I had some time and knocked out the first day. Here are the stats: Card 1 - 36,000 XP - 2,500 (top prize) Card 2 - 200k XP - 5,000 (top prize) Card 3 - 740k XP - 12,000 (top prize) x 10 = 120,000 chips 750 XP Pretty good value for under 1 million XP.
After seeing how fast I got the first part of the quest, I decided to chase this one. Totaled 221 spins @ $1,500 on Luxor to get all 3. and only 30 minutes of my day. Including bonuses (from quest and in-game), it cost me $52,843, but I got 331,500XP, 390LP from spins, and the 500LP bonus.
Hmm so is the bonus on the end random? dependent on level? My bonus was only 7x (said so starting out), but I picked 12k and only netted 84k chips. My LP was still 750 though... I didn't realize the multipliers were not consistent for all of us.
Finished up Day 2. Stats: Card 1 - 40k XP - 6k (top prize) Card 2 - 490k XP - 6k (8k is top prize) x 3 = 18,000 chips Card 3 - 890k XP - 15,000 (top prize) x 10 = 150,000 chips 750 XP Still good value IMO.
Second day took 35 minutes and 313 spins @1500 (Frontier and Excalibur High Roller). I am level 60 so my bonuses were 6,000 [17 spins], 6,000 [78 spins] (didn't get the max of 8,000), and 45,000 [218 spins](15,000 x3), plus the 500 LP at the finish. Overall, I lost $41,690, but went up 469,500XP, and my LP went up 1,050 (not including the 500 for moving to level 61) This has been a good quest to chase...which is unusual
finished today too, the first few days are really easy then I've noticed it's not really worth it unless you have million+ chips
Looks like this quest is back to old form. Today is MUCH more difficult. Card 1 - 50k XP - 6k (top prize) Card 2 - 1,060,000 XP - 12k x 4 = 48,000 chips It's taking over 100k XP to get each piece for the final. If that holds, that's over 2 mil XP to clear the final one. Not sure if its worth it.
It's not worth it. I saw on a Facebook group that the last piece does take over 2 million XP. It's time to start hoarding!
After a successful 2 days, I thought I'd give day three a try. I went to Monsters. I got all 8 pieces in just 4 spins!!! The first piece came in the first spin, and it was "worth" five pieces. On spin 4, the piece came up, and I was given the chance to pop balloons for my $6,000 chip bonus. It was only after I made it in the bonus round on that same 4th spin that I noticed that I had done max bet of $15k. I won $215,000 in the bonus round, and will now move back to $1500. I don't know if it was a glitch or if it was the size of the bet, but I'll take it.
I had a million chips so I decided to give the 3rd puzzle a go. It's a bear but I completed it. Took 2,315,000 XP. But got the top prize of 22k x 10 for 220,000 chips. Ended up almost exactly where I started with a million chips. Total quest today took almost 3.5 million XP.
Yep, time to quit for awhile and start hoarding again. Started the day with a million chips and ran it down to 100k with only 11 of 20 completed on the last puzzle. I need the double LP promo to come back. I earned over 30k LPs with that promo.
Day 4, and still kind of glitchy. I am glad it took only 25 spins to complete the first part, and shouldn't complain that the fist balloon was "worth" 2. Am a little miffed that the final balloon popped up in the middle of my Bet The Farm bonus, right after I bought insurance. So I lost the $5,000 I paid for insurance plus whatever I would have got on the wheel. Ah, well: I'm sure it will balance itself out some how.
I have completed all the first 4 days. got top prizes in all and ended the fourth day with 1.5 million more chips than when i started day 1
With that much XP aren't you maxing out the 2000 LP per day? When I did that math, the 750 LP I could gain would be more than offset by the LPs I would earn if I hadn't reached my 2000 per day limit. So I figured why waste my red chips trying to get 750 LP when I can get more than 750 the next day when the 2000 resets. I suppose if you have millions of chips and aren't worried about running out then I guess it's worth it for the 750 bonus LPs. I only have 400,000 and felt there was a reasonable chance of ruin chasing the 750.
Noticed today that the LP meter had stopped when I was 3 pieces away from completing the challenge. Doesn't bother me as I have over 600K LP but strange that they didn't take this into consideration. Q
Yes, that's what bugs me the most about quests. If, for some reason (like running out of chips), you can't complete it, it is to your detriment to have tried it because you aren't even earning LPs toward the end. Ugh. I'm pretty good about staying away from them, but still get drawn in at times.
