After reading threads about tipping bartenders, I thought about this. I know many of you frequent VP bars and talk about the awesome bartenders. I don't usually play VP at a bar, but want to do more of that on this upcoming trip. Where would I find the friendliest VP bartenders?

Hard to beat the Hard Rock's Little Dave... he's been there since opening day in 1995 and always seems to be present (I'm not sure if and when he takes days off). He's just a really cool guy and can talk intelligently about seemingly any and every subject, all without missing a beat providing service to all those at the bar. His eyes are always moving to insure he sees a customer in need, yet he's very engaged while chatting someone up. I don't know how he does it??? He LOVES his SF Giants and he sure seems to LOVE his job too!

Jose at Boars Head Bar @ MSS. One of the best if not the best in LV!

    Will second Cori as well.

Oliver at the Palms bar by the Book. Friendly, efficient and funny. Actually every employee I ran in to at Palms was friendly, but Oliver in particular.

Add another vote for Mike and Mike at 4 Queens at the Queen's bar. You'll never be thirsty.

Bill and Kerel at Eastside Lounge (Encore). Fast, friendly, not afraid to pour the booze and always greet me by name.

This is what I love about this board... Looks like I need to take a trip in and play a bit at the Four Queens bar. As much as I think I know Vegas, I always appreciate this kinda info.

The bartenders at MSS are great. Friendly and fast service. Very good paytables. Micro beers. Happy to pour you a couple drinks at a time if they know you're a gambler. Access to decent liquor and many premium mixed drinks. What's not to love?

Agreed. Jose rushes right over to say hello even if he's not serving in that area.

I always found the bartenders Bally's,specifically Sully's, to be top notch. Super friendly and always keep you filled up.

Agreed! I'm always amazed when they remember us, considering the number of people they must see and wait on every year. We really like Art at the Casino bar at Bally's - he has a pretty thick Thai accent and can be hard to understand at times, but he is so friendly and pleasant, and always remembers us from past trips.

i imagine majority of bartenders are friendly considering they work for tips, how about bartenders to avoid ?

Agree with Sully's in Bally's, always a great time. I'll also add the bartenders at the sports bar in Bellagio.

I was waiting for someone to mention this. It's one of the few strip bars where people mention bartenders by name here (Rick and Donny) as well Po in the sports book.

I've never drank at Bally's enough to have them serve me personally.

As for me, I've had decent luck at Gustav's at Paris. But no way in hell I remember who were the best in the bar. Also usually got decent service at the quad catalyst bar too. But I noticed the better bartenders they moved to O'Shea's where they can work them to death.

    And definitely NOT Aria.
