Just been looking on Restaurant.com (as it seems like a cool idea, we don't have anything similar in the UK). However although older threads (c2010) have a good handful of Strip/Downtown restaurants featured on R.com, I can't find any at all, its all obscure restaurants that are out of the way.

Do people have any recent experience of getting good R.com vouchers for Strip or Downtown restaurants? Or did they fall out of favour with Strip/Downtown restaurants? Any advice would be great, cheers!

I use these on every trip, but I get them on eBay for a lot less. I can usually buy these $25 "gift certificates" for like $3 shipped. But I'm also in the States...

The ones that I like are:

-$25 off $37.50 at Slice of Vegas (Mandalay Bay)

-$25 off $50 at Tacos & Tequila (Luxor)

-$25 off $50 at Hussong's Cantina (Mandalay Bay)

-$25 off $45 at Fresh Grill (Miracle Mile Mall inside Planet Hollywood)

-$25 off $50 at El Segundo (Fashion Show Mall next to Treasure Island)

Some of these are available in different denominations, but these are the ones I always get for me and the girlfriend and they allow us to eat at some nicer restaurants on a food court budget. I've also never had any issue using these. They're a great deal.

I also frequently use Groupon to find other deals as well. They have some great food deals (Ketchup, KGB, Toby Keith's, etc) and some even better drink deals.

If you use both, you can definitely do Vegas on the cheap.

Cheers for these replies guys, this is exactly what I was looking for!!!

It's gonna be an expensive trip and I'm willing to splash out, but any small bits of help here or there is definitely a good thing!

If anyone else has any other great Groupon, R.com or generally any other food vouchers/coupons I'm all ears.

Payard Patisserie & Bistro located in Caesar's Palace is now on restaurant.com in the form of a certificate for $25 that can be purchased for $10. It must be used on a purchase of $50 or more. This is a great place for breakfast or lunch!

Wow, a reply from the main woman herself! Thanks for info Sonya!! I must have just been a bit blind when I checked out R.com because there seems to be loads of deals for the Strip! haha!

Thanks to everyone else too for these amazing suggestions. Gonna look through all these with my gf this weekend.

Because we don't have R.com on this side of the pond, I'd like to ask a few questions about the service itself. So as I understand it you can only use 1 voucher per meal? Can another person in a group get a voucher too, or is it 1 voucher per group/meal?
Whats the validity on the vouchers? Is it possible to order them now (2months before we go), or do we need to get them closer to the time?

    Thanks again guys!!!

Hi , we are in the uk also but have owners rewards through our timeshare and get the restaurant.com through that but when you register it asks for an address and I just put in the resort where we are staying on that vacation usually Florida but have put Vegas in for this trip, the vouchers are printable and don't have addresses etc on them , we have used them a few times in Orlando with no problem, we have purchased for this trip crossroads at house of blues, the Brazilian steakhouse place on miracle mile and fresh bar on miracle mile, we got them last week as owners reward had a promotion on and you get them of a fraction of the normal cost, we are also planning on getting some groupons for spice market buffet, sugar factory and a burger place but will do that next month as we don't go until September , we are going for two weeks and as you will know airfare is so expensive so finding lots of ways to stretch our funds, playing myvegas also to get some show tickets and have gotten lots of great tips and links to save money through this forum!!! Thanks guys!! Every little bit counts!!! Hope this helps xxx

I find restaurant.com's website to be hard to navigate for people who aren't familiar with Las Vegas. There are lots of restaurants that come up with you search the zip code for "The Strip" that aren't really even close to The Strip. Even just looking for ones on Las Vegas Blvd doesn't guarantee Strip location either.

That's why I always tell people to ask. Lots of folks here use the coupons so there's usually a wealth of info in our members.

Also, the rules for restaurant.com can be fidgety. Usually it's one coupon per table, but there can be limitations like drinks, times, amounts, etc. Be sure to read the fine print before you purchase and don't hesitate to ask for guidance from the board. They usually have the best info. :)

Cheers for the heads-up! I agree, their website isn't very intuative. You would think in this day and age they'd have a map with the participating restaurants overlaid like most other services do. But with the help of this board, you've all given me some great options that I'm gonna spend some time looking over! Thanks again and I'm sure they'll be more questions to come VMB's way :nworthy:

Owen, we did the Restaurant.com cert at El Segundo a couple of summers ago and it is a really good deal. Just be mindful they have a minimum spend, IE $50 cert with a minimum $100 purchase. It is a great deal if you have a larger group and if you go during happy hour. They also have patio seating that makes if great people watching.

Thanks for the info, looks like a highly rated restaurant, but I'm not a big Mexican food fan myself. I will however keep a close eye on the terms as it seems they differ between restaurants!

Another good source for saving money for us over the years has been the Las Vegas advisor and the American casino guide coupon books. If you look on their website you can read a list of all the coupons

Hi Dan, Thanks for that, however I'm one step ahead on that front. As I'm already in possession of both the Las Vegas advisor and American casino coupon books (thanks to the suggestions of fellow VMB'ers. There's a hell of a lot of coupons in there!

I used resturant.com deals at Huggsongs cantina, Slice of Vegas and Stripburger during happy hour at two of the three places and left feeling like it was a super great deal and completely satisfied with the food and drinks at each place. I also signed up for text alerts from stripburger prior to the trip and recieved a text alert notice for a free milkshake. Only complaint I would have is reguarding the server at Slice if Vegas.... He was friendly and nice.. Introduced himself and went over the happy hour deals with us... We didn't think it was happy hour that day because we went on a Friday and their listed happy hours are Monday-Thursday.. But the server said it was happy hour so we changed our plan of what we were going to order and went with happy hour deals (food and drinks). We also let him know first thing about the resturant.com deal. As we sat there waiting for our food and throughout our meal we could hear him at other tables greating, suggesting and explaining its Friday n no happy hour on Friday.. So obviously when he told us he was off on what day of the week it was. Honest mistake IMO. So when the bill came and there were no HH prices we weren't that suprised. He came back over to us and instead of just saying he goofed and was off on what day it was he said he couldn't do the HH discounts along with the resturant.com discounts. We left it at that paired n left. But him saying he couldn't discount on the deal we had was lame. I wanted to explain to him that a GIFT CERTIFICATE is not a discount. Either way the food was good, service throughout was good and drinks were good. And I plan on using another one there next month.
