We leave 6/8 for our next adventure with three nights at MGM and two at Cosmo, all comp. The previous trip was the end of January, also with three at MGM and two at Cosmo, again, all freebies.
I'm moderately serious about my blackjack and will seek out the best rules. I won't play games where I can't DAS or DoA and I will never cast a shadow over a 6:5 crapjack game.
In January I played no blackjack at all at any CET properties . As most know it is a 6:5 wasteland with some of the worst rules on the strip, even in the high limit rooms. At Cosmo I gave them zero play on blackjack. Decent rules didn't start until $200/hand, but thanks for the room! The only play they got from me over two nights was and hour or so at craps. I assumed that would be the end of my Cosmo offers.
But surprisingly I got another two night offer which I'm taking them up on.
    Now the question.
Since January I have heard rumors that the blackjack offerings have improved dramatically at both CET and Cosmo for my level play, $50 - $100/hand. Cosmo supposedly has a pit with decent rules and some CET props are now offering games comparable to MGM.
Is any of this true? If yes, in which CET casinos should I be looking?
I would like to give some play to CET to generate future offers and Cosmo to keep on their radar but I'll only do this if they are offering a decent game. Otherwise those "free rooms" can get awful expensive!
    Thanks for any advice.

We were at Cosmo on a weeknight but found a $15 with DAS and surrender that payed 3:2. I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't played at any CET property in over 2 years.

FYI, 2 hours of $15 per hand BJ and minimal VP the next morning generated a summer offer of two free nights at Cosmo so it doesn't take much.

Hey, I stayed at Cp late jan and in march to(back next month) I found plenty of $25 3/2 tables at Caesars, Ph, Paris and flamingo. I'm pretty sure there were also some $15 3/2 tables at Margaritaville and the quad.

If you want the best rules, then MLife is the way to go. You can find DD games at $50/hand with the best rules in Vegas. 6-deck with $25 minimums as well.

Mlife is still best with the DD rules. For shoe games, mlife, CET, and Cosmo are all comparable, but Cosmo has the highest minimums for the good rules in a shoe game

    totaly correct

cosmo 6 deck starts usualy around 300$ a hand compared to cet and mlife 25$ for the same rules

i wish cet let u das for dd thats the only diffrence between cet and mlife on dd,.

basicaly it comes down to what your looking for in comps and level of play now that cet improved there 6 deck. free rooms (cet)or more food (mlife)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the MLife 6-Deck game was S17, DAS, RSA and Surrender for a house advantage of 0.28%. I think the CET game doesn't have one of those options (either RSA or Surrender, can't remember which), so that house advantage of 0.35%. I know it's a slight difference, but why not go for the best rules?

cet just changed there rules starting a few months ago, you can now split aces 4 times depping where you play and have 25$ tables with the excat same rules as mlife and some times better bj low minums than mlife as they raise them up cet does have atleast one if not more 25$ hl bj table with the best rules on the strip

    hope that helps

cet is slowly and yes im shocked starting to get better bj rules.

they only thing i wish is i could das on dd that you still cant do at cet but at mlife thats the differnce in the 2.

when i noticed the cet changes i posted and its been discussed around here a few times.people seem to be happy especialy low end bj players

One other difference in DD. The two CET high limit DD tables I walked by last month (PHo and CP) were both hit soft 17. Unless that has changed in the last few weeks or the tables I walked by just happened to be anomalies, the MGM DD tables are much better because of that rule

correct , cet tables rules varies by propety you always have to ask ,its wierd

some now let you split aces 4 times some still only do 2 on a shoe

i was at bellagio playing dd , they stop s17 but only split aces once like all other places but i think there lower end places luxor exclibur and definatly ny ny all hit soft 17 as i play at ny ny non hl and the all hit s17, so it varies

The high limit rooms at NYNY and MC DD stand on 17. I'm sure you're right about the lower limits

mlife considers ny ny there locals casino where rio is for cet, thats how i know about ny n y i play dd on the floor and hl and thats the diffrence the s17

it would be great if all properties in there chain where the same but then what would we have to bitch about

That's interesting, I never knew that about NYNY. I stopped in the high limit there on Saturdays each of the last two months and the HL was dead. Only one other player each time and a total of three tables open. But the bar staff in the HL was very friendly. It was a nice place to chill for a few minutes

yup i get all the local mailers as i live behind Aria , and the ny ny is the mlife locals , every month they send a locals free play mailer thats the only reason i ever go there, yes the hl is dead i do like the bar its right next to the tables and hl slots some quick service.

aria mlife corprate still sends me free room , limo pick up and resort credits offers , its pretty funny as i live next to it.
