If I choose a secret hotel from Hotwire, will they choose one of the hotels on the strip? I am looking for a 5 star and I narrow it down to South, Center, and North Strip, but I am worried if I choose one, it won't be one of the main strip hotels. Has anyone ever done this with luck?

I am reading about betterbidding, but I am skeptical on how reliable it is.

    Thanks all!

I have used it in the past, and have yet to get a hotel not on the strip. Do be careful when looking at 5 star hotels, as the Trump is considered one by Hotwire. As long as the hotel has a casino listed you should be ok.

Yes - Trump is considered a 5 star North Strip hotel on Hotwire.

The easiest way to avoid getting Trump is make sure "Casino" is listed in the amenities. Usually when you pick a 5 star North Strip hotel (with casino) it ends up being The Venetian.

South Strip 5 star Hotels on Hotwire are usually Aria or Vdara. Aria has "Casino" in its amenities, Vdara does not.

Thanks! Defintiely don't want Trump or Vdara.

One more question, does this usually come with 2 beds or 1? I need 2.

If you enter two adults in your search, you could end up with one bed, it is up to the clerk at check in to upgrade. BetterBidding is pretty accurate, you should start a topic listing all of the amenities and ask the moderator for an opinion. Vdara is actually pretty nice and just steps away from Bellagio and it's frequently available on Hotwire and Priceline.

paperposter, Biddingfortravel only works with Priceline, not Hotwire.
