Does anybody know if the 'day' for 'Platinum in one day'/'Diamond in one day' for CET starts at 00:00 (midnight) and ends at 23:59 or does it last 24 hours from when you earn your first tier credit?
With the current bonus programs, you get points based on play during their normal day, which in most cases is 6am to 6am. Some might be 5. This is not the Plat or Diamond in a day. Just normal, which results in Plat or Diam in a day in the end.
The Platinum in a Day and Diamond in a Day don't exist in the same form anymore. Instead, you can earn bonus Tier Credits based on the number of regular Tier Credits you earn during a single casino day. For earning 500, the bonus is 125 For earning 1,000, the bonus is 1,000 For earning 2,500, the bonus is 5,000 You can only receive the bonus TCs once a day So you can make Platinum in a day by earning 2,500 TCs ($12,500 coin in), you end up with 7,500 You can make Diamond in two days by doing 2,500 TCs on each of the two days, getting the 5,000 bonus each day, and you end up with 15,000 OR you can make Diamond in one day by earning 2,500, getting the 5,000 bonus, and then earning another 7,500 on top. There doesn't seem to be any reason to do it the second way, unless it matches your normal play level, or there's some reason you really need to do it in one day.
Chuck is forgetting something. If you earn 5k tier credits in one day, you get a bonus of 10k tier credits to make Diamond in one day.
DOH! I went to the TR site to verify the bonus levels, but I didn't scroll down far enough to see the last bonus level...
If I had the budget, I would try for Diamond in a day over at the Rio. They have 10/6 DDB machines on 3/5/10 play dollars. Even with the $50 a tier credit stipulation on those machines, you could pull the 5k tier in 5000 hands playing the 10 play. 99.96% payback percentage.
Yah, I certainly wouldn't plan on doing that unless I had the bankroll to deal with the variance. A good option for the High Roller though - score a ton of comps with a house edge of only 100 bucks on a quarter million worth of action.
A high roller at the Rio though! If I had the budget to be a high roller, I probably wouldn't be trying to score comps at the Rio.
