Staying at the Flamingo after the Fourth of July weekend. We will be there Sunday through Wednesday. I have been reading about the pool area and how it is separated into 2 separate pools. I have read that there is a charge to get into the GO pool and it has a loud party atmosphere. I understand that the Beach Club pool is more for families and there will be lots of kids running around, but there is no charge.

I go to the pool first thing in the morning when it opens for an hour or two and just like to relax. What pool should I go to? What would be my best option for getting a chair without having to fight for it? I'm not too picky about where the chair is located. Is the Beach Club pool a lot smaller than the GO pool and will it be harder to find 2 chairs together? I don't usually spend a lot of time in the water, just pop in a few times to cool off, so I don't care if there are lots of people in the pool. Loud music isn't my favorite, but I don't need it to be silent.

As I am looking over my post I realize that I sound like a pretty grumpy person. Not the case, just wondering if anyone has an opinion about what would be best for a morning at the pool.

We just returned from a long weekend at the Flamingo. We went down to the pools on Sunday around 1:30, not quite sure which one we would hang out at. We definitely chose the Beach Club pool. There were some kids there, but really not too many. A nice crowd of people having a good time, but not the LOUD (and I so mean LOUD) music and crazy vibe of the GO Pool. We hung out for a few hours and really enjoyed ourselves. Although we did see a few empty chairs here and there, we were offered a cabana for $150. We took the offer and enjoyed having the shade when we wanted it. Sounds like you may want the Beach Club pool over the GO Pool. Also, as a P.S. If you are staying at the Flamingo, there is no charge for either pool. Hope this helps!

If you show up first thing in the morning the music won't really be going.

The party at the flamingo pool really only starts to pick up in the afternoon.

Chairs are going to be a premium regardless of what pool you choose!

I'd say try the goal pool and if it's not to your liking you can always go to the other pool.

The GO pool would be more relaxing in the morning but be prepared to line up at 9am and you will have no problem getting deck chairs. It's a decent place until about noon and then it gets busy and loud. Waiting until later in the morning will make it tough to get chairs.

Concur with the above posts, the GO pool is really tame until the afternoon.

The GO pool has nicer scenery. We go to the GO pool at 9am and leave about 1 or 2pm. We didn't pay to get in the pool. No charge for quests.

Thanks for all the help. It sounds like I will have no problem finding a relaxing pool and lounge chair in the morning. I am glad that there is no cover, I thought that was really over the top. I will plan to be in line when it opens.

Is there a big difference between early in the week, and fri/sat/sun? Like the OP, I'm going to be at the Flamingo from a Sunday until Thursday at the end of June. Should I plan on the pools being busier and louder as the week comes to a close?

We were there the week after Easter Sunday. We arrived on Sunday and left on Friday afternoon. The holiday crowds had left for the most part by the time we arrived, even though it was still spring break for some of us. We enjoyed walking down the sidewalks and not feeling like we were in a sea of people. The casino floors were easy to navigate, there were places at the table games to sit and the limits were lower later into the afternoons. We didn't have a long wait for any restaurant or buffet we ate at. It was easy to get a lounge chair at the pool. There was a huge difference in the crowd size by Thursday night and by Friday it was very crowded. So from my experiences, yes, it gets more crowded and there is more going on from Thursday through Sunday. Some people might not enjoy the weekday atmosphere of Vegas, but I thought it was great.

There is a noticeable difference...but if you hit the pool around 9:00am it will be similar to midweek.
. We usually got Thursday - Monday MAY LONG and it is t busy till afternoon - pool.
