Just gotta express some appreciation to the people on this board for the excellent advice... and especially those who contributed on the Craps thread. I am one of those who is fascinated by the energy, but not quite sure what I'm watching. That thread really helped to clear things up - I had no idea how simple Craps could be. Looking forward to dropping a few bucks on the pass line and joining the party!

It's a fun game. Take odds on your pass line bets and if your budget permits make a come bet or two with odds. You'll have a great time if the dice are going your way but be careful, the game can get away from you fast..... Anyway, have fun and don't be afraid to ask the dealers for help, if you need it, they're usually happy to oblige.

Craps can be lots of fun if you're on a hot table. Like the other people said, always take odds on the pass line, and don't forget to bet in multiples of 6 on 6/8. That's the first place bet I always make once the point comes out.

Fantastic - we got another craps player! You will find that craps tables have so much energy, especially when the dice get hot. As some above have mentioned, it can get away from you if the dice go cold. Even at a $10 table, I have lost $300 in about 20 minutes; however, I have also made $300 in 20 minutes! Can be volatile, so stick to the basic pass line (w/odds) and come/place bet.

    Good luck!

I also want to welcome you to the dice world. You will have a lot of fun- the most fun game in a casino.

Don't necessarily think you have to stick to pass-line with odds and come bet with odds. That can be a very expensive way to play - and result some pretty short sessions. Single odds are fine. Place bets are also fine. Just remember to collect a few wins before pressing up your bets. And when things are going well, throw a few white chips on the bets in the center of the table. If you are doing well, a couple of bucks won't kill you, and the reward can be substantial.

Don't play scared and don't bet dumb.
