I leave for Vegas this Saturday. My flight lands in the morning and I have ground transportation booked to take me straight to Paris LV upon arrival. Does CET charge an early check-in fee to all customers regardless of TR status or since I'm Diamond will they waive the early check in fee? Just curious so I know what to expect. I'd rather not even bother to ask if there is no point. Don't want to press my luck if I don't have to. I may need it later. :evillaugh

I am Diamond and ever since they implemented the early check in fee, I have had it go either way. Sometimes it's not a problem and they just check me in and other times, they ask me if I'd like to pay for early check in (no, I would not like to pay, thank you very much). I guess it just depends on the mood of the person at the desk. I'm sure you could find something to do while waiting for your room if you had to... Just leave your bags with bellhop and enjoy yourself. :) Good luck!

Great question... I'm in the same spot next month. I'm diamond. Land at 11am Saturday, figure I'll be at caesars by noon. Should I have our driver drop us off at the side entrance of Cp? Diamond check in is still there right? Our room is compd for 5 days and would have no problem paying a fee to check in early. What's the usual fee? Would an early request be any help? Thanks

Since you are diamond and you have a comped room, I would think you would be able to check in, without a fee, if a room is available. Noon isnt that early, but its Saturday so that can make it difficult. Give it a try. Dont forget to request the tower of your choice!!

I think it depends on the room. If you have requested a specific suite and the people that were in it the night before have asked for a late chech out you would have to wait. If the type of room you requested is plentiful then I think they will just check you in. That has been my experience at Bally's anyway.

My experience with Diamond check-in at Paris has been great. I usually get a phone call from Diamond Check-in a couple days prior to my reservation to find out if I need anything and to confirm the reservation. In the past they have upgrade me from a red room to a red room with a view, and I am sure they will note your reservation that you are coming in early. I am barely diamond, and I have never been asked to pay the early check-in at a CET property in Vegas or AC. But, it sounds like it does happen though.

Paris always seems to go out of their way to accommodate diamond players. At least that has been my experience.

I'll just tip normally and see what they say...room is comped so I guess it can't hurt to ask. But there's no way I'm paying to check in early. In fact, if they can't assist after being nice as pie, then I'll very nicely let them know I'll be down the street spending some money at an MGM property and to call me once the room is ready. Then I'll be back to spend some real cold hard dough... :p

It would be great if i get a call! But my overall experience with CET hasn't been that great in general. I keep playing there because it makes sense to give loyalty for the extra perks, of course not by any means chasing comps. And I live close to one so just doing what makes the most financial sense. I have two more sleeps then I'm outta here so maybe today I get a call (fingers crossed). That would restore my faith in some type of customer service with this company :) And I will say I encountered the best Pit Boss and table gaming crew ever recently at my local Horseshoe . They were stellar. But other than that, it's been difficult to get any polite/nice let alone great service.

Paris is the only CET property that has called ahead of time in my experience. When you go to the buffet, they seem to scramble to get diamond members seated. Of all the CET properties, they actually made me feel like the diamond level was more than just a different card.

Wow really?? If there are no rooms available when you get there early you're going to go spend your money elsewhere? It's not enough that they're giving you the room for free to begin with?

I have always arrived early and have never been asked to pay for early check-in. Sometimes I think my host has a room blocked off for us and if it's not ready they put us in another room but I have never paid.

The issue this weekend won't be will there be a charge. The issue will be will they even have rooms available early. In the past on Memorial Day weekend, they haven't had rooms available until close to check in. I haven't really been to Vegas with CET since the fee but they would start the check in process, assign a room and promise to call when your room is free.

Flamingo VIP has called me multiple times prior to my trip to check preferences, so Paris/Bally's isn't the only one who does. I'm 'barely diamond' and haven't had to pay to check in early.

As the previous poster said, your biggest issue will be arriving during a holiday weekend. The more flexible you are with your room choice, the better the chance one will be available. I have had issues with my room not being ready when I arrive early, but hey, that's what the bellhop is for.... check my bags and race to the casino!

    Have a blast!

I checked in early (1:00pm) at Augustus Tower two weeks ago as a Diamond. The issue of a fee never came up. The room was ready, and the staff were great.

Um, I think someone doesn't understand context clues... My post was strictly in regards to paying a fee for early check-in. If there isn't a room available, then that's much different than the front desk clerk picking and choosing who pays a fee and who doesn't should a room actually be available. I would hope any front desk clerk with a basic knowledge of customer service would be sure to mention an inability to even handle such a request if the room isn't even available. I know I would - especially if I was expecting a tip. A no with a simple explanation about it being out of an individual's control is always better from a customer's point of view than a simple "no."

And then there's the fact that the room isn't actually "free." I've spent more than my fair share to earn my comps.

What they told me at Paris the last time was that if the room was comped there was no early check-in fee. If the room was paid there was. I had already used 5 free nights at Flamingo and they wanted to charge me since I was paying a few bucks for Paris. I was actually ill and requested to get into the room right away so I could lay down. She was insistent on charging me and I was insistent she find a supervisor to waive the charge. The early check-in fee would have actually been more than the daily room charge I had on the discount lol. She did get a supervisor to waive it and I was able to go pass out for a few hours.

Jgates - guess I can understand the clerk's issue. If she'd broken the rules and waived it on her own, she would have been in trouble. It would have been easy for her to talk to the supervisor immediately though.
