Shooting at the Palms?

Anyone know what the story is with this?
I just saw it on the news here in Los Angeles.

Their reporting a male adult was shot in the chest inside a suite in the Fantasy tower of the Palms on May 14th. The local news is saying the gunman is still out there and no arrest has been made. The victim later died in the hospital.

i was there , mist the killing by an hour or so .

it was an interesting day and nite there but left around 8pm to head home.

last i heard he was killed in the old hugh heffener suite and the gunman was on the run

 

How sad. I hope the guy that pulls the trigger spends a lot of time in prison getting painfully abused. Anyone that is such a p**sy that they need a gun when it is three on one (presuming it's a true story) needs putting down immediately.

 

i heard there where 40 people in the suite when it happened but im away now, when im back im sure ill find out more

We were in the suite below and heard most of it. The guy was an exmarine , they say 30-40 but the hallway suggested more than 60, people bounced when the original argument took place. They were shooting a rap video and he was helping out, sad thing is he was the only white guy there, from what i heard.

hes a good guy. He was actually breaking up an altercation between his brother (from what i heard) and another guy.

 

Wife and I were staying at the PAlms, but went out to a show for the evening. When we returned to the hotel about 10:30pm, there were about a dozen police cars there. I figured it was a fight in a nightclub, or something. Our room was in the Ivory tower, 53rd floor, right across from the Hefner Suite. We turned on the news and learned what had happened. We could see lots of activity (police) in the Hefner suite. Very sad.
