Where do you guys/girls recommend a hotel for our 21 year old daughters who have never to been to Vegas before ?? Location, nice pool and a good casino vibe are important, and has to be on the Strip. Any suggestions and why are appreciated. Thanks...

Our family has always taken 21 yo to the Mirage. Great pool but kinda low key casino vibe. You can go elsewhere for the casino but you can't beat the pool.

I would vote for the Flamingo.

    1) pretty nice rooms (try to get a GO-room)
    2) located center-strip, so only a short walk to Planet Hollywood, Cosmo, Bellagio, Caesar's, Venetian
    3) GO pool is really nice
    4) if you don't like the casino vibe at the Flamingo (which I think is really good!) --> see 2)

You have 28 trips to Vegas and don't have an idea of where to put a few 21 year olds who like to go to the pool?

If I was a 21 year old first timer nothing would beat the Cosmo for me.

Flamingo or MGM. Is budget an issue?

If the pool was not important I would suggest PH....lots of 21-30's having a great time. Flamingo could be an option if cost is a factor. No budget? Maybe Cosmo.

I stayed at Planet Hollywood my first time in Vegas and it was awesome! I don't have a single bad thing to say about it

Exactly. Cosmo is the spot for young people. Location is great.

Well I would say as a wild card, the Cromwell! Seems to be the crowd they are shooting for. Beach Club/Night Club on the roof, Drai's After Hours nightclub, center strip, the staff seems to be amazing so far, officially opening on the 20th so everything is new!!! the one drawback would be price...haven't seen any discounts on the place yet but depends on your status with TR, if you are a TR member. Other than that the 20ish crowd seem to love the Cosmo, not sure about their pool area though, and PH seems to be a favorite with the younger crowd. Other than that I would go with the Flamingo. The pool area there seems to be one of the best on the strip, and it's like 50 steps to the Cromwell!

I would actually go with Caesar's Palace.

Thinking back to when I went around that age, I think it left the most impression on me. For daughters, the Forum shops (that in itself is worth it), location, huge casino, restaurant choices etc make it a perfect choice!!

There may be nicer, newer or trendier, but I'd go with Iconic Vegas for the first time!

Hey VegasChic, one of my daughters has a shopping fetish and would probably find her in the Forum shops @ Caesar's most of the time. Caesar's might not be a bad choice at all, all things considered...

I agree Disneyfan, I initially was going to suggest the Cosmo, but, I really think the opulence of the Forum shops really would put it over the top for her.....I know it did for me back in the day! I think I would have appreciated the Cosmo a little more closer to my 30's rather than 21!

If they are into the club scene, I'm sure they will make their rounds at night and will eventually hit the Marquee at Cosmo, head across to Planet Hollywood etc, and other places of the like anyway.

During the day though, the pools and shops at Caesar's would certainly leave an impression!

Good luck on the trip.....would love to hear what they think of Vegas after their first trip!

Hey VegasChic, sounds like you already know one of my daughters !! They already know of some of the shows they would like to see, Chris Angel, Carrot Top, Rock of Ages, maybe Brittany Spears if all of these are playing when we go. They both would like to try the rides atop the Stratosphere , the list goes on and on. Food will cost me a fortune as they both won't to bring a friend to help them celebrate turning "21". Looks like I will be playing a lot of My Vegas... Thanks for all your input..

I'll agree with the Cosmo recommendations. If I were 21 and had the means, it would definitely be the place where I'd want to hang out.

That said, I'd imagine most 21 year olds would be thrilled just to be in Vegas. I know I was when I went at 21 (despite staying at Boardwalk).

If your daughter likes shopping, check out City Center. It has all the high-end designer shops. It is a few minutes walk from the Cosmo.

CP is a good casino, but I don't recommend it for the young crowd, especially girls. Cosmo has that glamorous feel, which is perfect for early 20's year old.

as to daughter and shopping.... I hope somebody has money coming out their a$$ if she shops at City Center.

    LOL!

As to hotels, we love Bellagio, but way older than 21.

I'll put my two cents in for PHo. Great vibe and location, fun pool scene even though it's not real over the top, and glitzy casino. Plus, since it's hooked to the Miracle Miles shops, they could get their shopping fixes without going too far. The Forum Shops are a quick walk away. At 21, though, I'd have just been happy to be in Vegas, no matter where I stayed (well, as long as it was clean!). Ha. Hope they have a great trip!!
