Yesterday we had a record high temp for April 27. The thermometer topped off at 107 degrees late in the afternoon. We had a little front pass through this morning. The wind shifted to the north and we will only reach 99 today. May have to pull on a sweater. Later in the week we are supposed to have more seasonable temps.

It's "winter" here, as is typical. Temps still go 67-73 or so, but it's wind season.

I was wrong. The temp in our area just hit 102 and it is on the rise.

Here in Mississippi, we have four confirmed tornados on the ground (Tupelo, Louisville, Canton, Jackson) with more on the way. Here in Meridian, most of the stuff so far was a little north of us but it looks like our turn is coming up in the next couple of hours. We are somewhat of a regional medical center with 3 medical centers/hospitals and 2 mental hospitals. A big chunk of our ambulances were sent to Louisville (about 50 miles away) about an hour ago. Word is that their tornado hit the hospital in the downtown area.

RebelDiceMan - hope you are OK. Y'all have had several days of serious bad weather. Folks in the Panhandle of Florida really getting a drenching. Be safe out there.

Here in the RGV we've reverted back to Winter. We had three consecutive days with temps over 100 degrees. A nice cold front moved through overnight and the high this afternoon should top out at 80.

We have had a series of days with bright sunshine, temps in the 60's to start the day and afternoon highs ranging from upper 70's to upper 80's. Very nice.

We had some nice thunderstorms last night. Good rain for about 45 minutes. We need lots of rain here in the RGV.

Been cool here in the NJ but temps are supposed to be in the low 80"s tomorrow-too warm for me. However, we're flying to Denver on Monday and the forecast is for a big snowstorm there on Sun and Mon. Should be fun driving through the Rockies!

I think the rain is finally taking a break  Woke up it's currently 50 and going to make it's way up to a high of 70 with the sun shining bright; they are saying this will last more than one day! Thank you Mother Nature :nworthy:

Well into May and there is snow in Denver. I remember being in Colorado Springs many years ago driving in a steady rain. We headed up towards Cripple Creek and drove into a snowstorm on June 8th!

Here in the RGV we had a nice thunderstorm this morning. Forecast is for more storms throughout today and possibly tomorrow. Folks in Central and East Texas are dealing with flooding. Stay safe out there.

Last week several days of 100+. Yesterday and today highs in the upper 70's. This morning it was a cool 58 when I let the dog out. Low humidity. Is this heaven?

We are experiencing another series of days with temps above one hundred degrees. 101 yesterday and the forecasters are saying 100 -103 for the remainder of the week. Lovely. We spent a week in Kansas City recently and the temps never got above 88. Nice. Even experienced some rain. We haven't had a legitimate rain here in a month.
