Pre Vegas Trip Day Dreaming

Off to Vegas in 4.5 days for our annual wifey/hubby trip. This one is special tho…May 8 is our 15th wedding anniversary. We definitely owe it to ourselves!

Flying out on AA in the early morning light on Wednesday and staying first at MGM, then at NYNY all courtesy of MyVegas. It’s only been a year since we went together and only 8 months since I went with my mom but it looks like there is a whole new world out there for us to see!

New things I’m looking forward to this trip:

~The Cromwell – yes, I know it’s not that exciting but it’s still something different. I like playing slots and drinking at places I’ve never been before.

~The Linq – All the pictures I’ve seen make this look like a nice relaxing area to take a stroll around and escape the hustle and bustle for a bit. Should be nice.

~Downtown with the hubs – I’ve been downtown with my mom, he’s been downtown with my dad….we’ve never been together. Will be taking in the light show this year.

~MyVegas rewards are – Monte Carlo brunch buffet, Shark Reef, 2 for 1 three day monorail passes, BOGO entrée at NFI inside NYNY (since I used my 3 on rooms this was allwe could get from my husband’s account)

~Celebrating our anniversary on the Bellagio patio @ Olives. We’ve never done this. Ressie made and planning on slipping the hostess a tip for a table down center.

~Playing all the new slots that are out and several ones I don’t normally play (more Aristocrat, Konami and WMS G+ this trip than usual)

~Sprinkles Cupcakes – we have one in Dallas that I never visit but OMG they are soooo good.

~Yusho @ Monte Carlo….the food looks really good I hope we eat here at least once or even for a fast snack.

~Tropicana – haven’t been in years but plan to go in and see what they’ve done with the place. Will be like playing somewhere new!

No shows planned this year but we hope to grab one on the sly from Tix4Tonite depending on time/price and what we’re in the mood for.

Thanks for reading – I will be live tweeting throughout the trip with pics (easier than a live report) if you feel like following along. As long as my phone battery lasts me! I'm bringing 3 cameras and a camcorder so there will be lots of pictures and YouTube vids when I get back.

I hope you have a wonderful trip! We are leaving for Vegas in 7 days for the same reason, except that it's for mine and my husband's 10 year anniversary! I too am looking forward to the Cromwell and the Linq ... nothing better than finding new territory to explore in Vegas! My husband and I always take a day downtown! I love it because I love low limit table games and it gets to be frustrating how few are offered on the strip anymore!
I just started on MyVegas ....ha! two weeks before my trip- a little late to the game! lol! But I already exchanged for a two for one buffet at Excalibur just to see how it works. Now I have a week to build up as much points as I can so I can get one more two for one buffet at a nicer hotel ... that is my goal anyways.

Thanks! I don't have any ACG coupons unfortunately but I was literally just scouring the internet for some coupons to print...and also got FourSquare and Groupon loaded up on my phone so I can take advantage of some deals while we are there.

 

Congrats on your anniversary. Good choice on the May 8th wedding day. My wife and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary - also on May 8th. We got married in Vegas and go back once a year. Due to work schedules we will not be about to celebrate in Vegas until the end of the month.

I'm excited for you! We leave June 7 and I daydream about Vegas daily.

I agree about how fun it is to check out new places. I have actually never been to the Tropicana but they have Monopoly Big Event so I might go specifically to find that slot.

We are going for a week. Most of our plans include the pools (staying at 3 properties) in the late morning to mid afternoon and gambling/exploring/eating good food by night. We are going to Freemont for one night and will be seeing Terry Fator one night.
