    What's your favorite fountain show?
    Add one if you like!
Which perspective do you like best?
The dancing water sprites look amazing from every vista; behind, in front, on top...all views envelope you.
The first time I watched Rondine al Nido, the tenor just about floored me. I've been hooked ever since. -Enjoy!

LAS VEGAS – In a suite at the Bellagio, Claire Kahn pulls out pages with hand-written lyrics to Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds,
each line accompanied by her sketches of how the resort's famed dancing fountains could bring it to life.

The story behind Rondine al Nido is about a bird that returns,

I agree Luck be a Lady with God Bless the USA a close 2nd.

Did they turn the music volume down in the last couple of years.
It seemed much louder 3 years ago. I can remember hearing the fountain music loud and clear while traveling North in a cab. Now not so much.

a co-worker of mine predicts that, within 5 years half of the fountains will be replaced by restaurants and shops. Its wasted prime real estate. Lets hope she's wrong.

Getting rid of the fountains however ruins any sort of impact the Bellagio has on the strip, by doing that, they devalue the hotel, losing custom in the rooms I imagine. Not want they'll want to be doing.

Time to say goodbye is one of my favourites, it was the song they played the first time I saw the fountains

Slightly OT... We were in Tennesse and a company had just installed a new fountain project in Pigeon Forge. We were watching them test for the local news crew. Then a man with an iPad came over to our kids ans asked if they wanted to control the fountains. Of course they do!
Afterwards he asked if we have ever been to Vegas. Yep.
So he makes a couple swipes on the ipad and says: Here is the control board for the Bellagio fountains. We worked on those, too. If we wanted to, we could turn them on right now. Any song.
And, sure enough, there was the playlist with all of those familiar songs.

    Talk about a random encounter.

I hate to be unoriginal, but I love Luck Be a Lady as well. As many times as I've seen the fountains, I'm still a sucker for them and could watch the shows over and over and over -- much to my wife's frustration.

It's not only a great song, but the fountain show for it is phenomenal. I like "Viva Las Vegas" a little better musically, but the fountain show just isn't quite as good as "Luck Be A Lady", in my opinion.

The fountain show is literally my favorite thing in all of Vegas. I can't even count the number of trips where I've dragged companions out to see it (sometimes even after eating at Picasso or getting drinks at Hyde, which always elicits complaints), because I just love watching it from the sidewalk.

"Con Te Partiro" would be my second favorite fountain song. Trouble is, most people don't leave with what they brought.

There used to be a schedule on the Bellagio website. I haven't looked for it recently.

Time to Say Goodbye is easily my favorite. If that one doesn't give you goosebumps, you need to see your doctor.

I think from a technical perspective, Billie Jean may be the absolute coolest I've ever seen.

Songs I would like to see:
    Carmina Burana o Fortuna
Star Wars Duel of the Fates Theme (really, anything John Williams is amazing)
Whitney Houston - I will always love you
    Michael Jackson - Thriller

What songs would you guys like to see?

My favorite was when we there at Christmastime and they had the shows set to Christmas music, one of which was my all time favorite Christmas song, "Most Wonderful Time of the Year".

Great post! Time to say goodbye always brings a tear to my eye so that would #1 followed by David Foster's Winter games.
