For everyone who has been to Vegas in the last 6 months or less, which Strip hotel had the luckiest slots for you and what denomination were you playing? Penny/nickel or higher? My mom was recently at Aria for example and told me she had no luck there at all. That is the first hotel we are staying at but we will gamble wherever. :nworthy:

Gulp...I was going to Suggest Aria. I'm usually lucky there. However, it is all about timing and luck :peace:

I usually find it seems for me to be one particular machine each trip does really well. Last trip it was "Free Spin Frenzy" where no matter where I played it I was winning every time and the trip before it was "Buffalo"

Mind you I am sure its really just a case of: I play a bunch of different machines, I hit a couple of nice wins on one so I end up playing it more and more and wind up doing much better over the whole trip... but sometimes I just like to think of it as "my lucky game" that trip :)

Had 4 trips in the last 6 months.

All four I was murdered at NYNY playing any kind of slot or VP.
Had great luck at MGM playing the Myjestic Lion ($1 denom) (tons of them near the elevators). The Gold Fish (penny) games near the KA theater were hitting bonuses like crazy. The Green Machine ($1 Denom) at MGM was super loose, I hit $100 a few times and $50 a few other times.
The Mystic Unicorn slot at Excal gave me a nice win. The new digital texas holdem was fun, made $80 in 20 min, but pops lost $100 in 45min.
No luck at Luxor on slots, VP (quarter) went decent.
Flamingo/margaritaville Green Machine ($1 denom) was decent.
    PH no luck
    Paris no luck

Had good Luck at The Mirage in January and March:
Dollars - 3 credits - Blazing Sevens progressive near high limit slot area - won 1,000 twice and had several wins of 200 and 300.
    Dollars - 3 credits - 3x,4x,5x - husband hit jackpot of $2700 mid morning.
Pennies- betting between .80 and 2.00 - Iron Man - won many small pots between $80 and $200. Pennies- betting between minimum and 2.00 - Michael Jackson - won several small pots between $$50 and $180...
Also some wins at Bellagio -dollar Blazing Sevens.

It really is a combination of timing and luck. :)
Hope you win some great jackpots,

I have not been to Vegas since last May memorial weekend. I hear that uptown slots are tighter than downtown slots and that off the strip slots are looser than both uptown and downtown slots. What happens on the machines anyway as we all know is based on timing, RNG, and some machines bonuses are based on how many people are playing or have played to determine bonuses, etc.

2 years ago when I went on the strip, I stayed at Mirage and it did not pay anything the 2 nights I was there before moving to stay at a casino off the strip. The only casinos that paid near the Mirage were Venetian and Caesars Palace. Those 2 casinos I will go back to this memorial weekend to play at for sure because I like the atmosphere there. I also want to check out other casinos on the strip too including the new "O'Sheas". I am also staying off the strip again at the Eastside Cannery. Their machines pay good if the timing is right. My 2 favorites all times in Vegas are Caesars and Venetian.

I think really, its all about the atmosphere, what mood your in, and how you are feeling at the time. If you are really in the mood to play, you will do better than you would if you were just playing just to play.

Quick Hits Platinum ($1.50 per spin) at Aria. Always got long sessions for little investment. Once, the wife and I sat down to play our $50 free play and ended up playing for 4 hours, getting hammered and cashing out $600!

Most recent, Hot Shot (yours, mine and ours $2.50 per spin) at Mandalay Bay. Got some long play and on our second session hit a $1225 hand pay!
next night, put in $100 and played for 2 hours, cashed out $120.
    Good Luck!

I have never won at Aria.....NEVER!!!! That place hates me. Played slots there the past 7 or 8 trips and never win. :rolleyes2:

I always win at NYNY. Was there 2 weeks ago and won a lot on penny slots mostly: Buffalo and Wonka 3RM wre the luckiest. Also hit a big win there on an old skool 3 reel quarter machine by the mLife players desk.

Did very well on quarter VP at Cosmo Book and Stage, and at the bar as soon as you walk into Trashy Castle from NYNY, it's on the left.

One person's luckiest casino that they always gamble in will be another persons unluckiest casino that they always avoid.

Very true! Its like when the "what is your favorite slot?" threads come up and somebody will list a few games and you can look at the list and be thinking "How can you like those things? They are the tightest pieces of crap that I never win on!" but most of the time people's favorites are their favorites because they win regularly on them.

Very true that one place/slot could be lucky for one and not another..I'm just interested in hearing how people have done lately.

Downtown at LaBayou...it smells like vomit and is kinda old however, EVERY time I am in Vegas I walk in, (Usually during the day) and get beads, sit right in front at a penny slot, put in $5 get a southern comfort on the rocks tip the CW a dollar and she brings me a FULL cup of soco, and usually fills it 2 more times before my $5 is gone. I have literally played for 2-3 hours off of $5 during the day time there. at night not so much. But if you're looking to do some day drinkin' and just have fun stop there!

Exactly, there is only one game I can win really win on and have been playing every week locally and have not been able to really win on anything else when I try. To me, its not really what casino I go into. It is really if the slot I like is there and if it will pay the same now. I used to always slot hop and not get much luck. Now I usually stick to one game that always pays for each week when I go that is consistent. When I go to Vegas memorial weekend, the machine I like will be very hard to find and the only way to play it is go to the strip (hour bus ride from where I am staying) and go to one of the two casinos that has my game. It might pay differently than locally though because its the strip and machines are tighter on the strip. As long as I get on at the right time, I am good. I don't know how I get lucky on this one game, but I do and I always leave even or ahead. I like games where I can stay on a long time paying and not have a lot of dead spins.

This machine is called Titan 360 and is only at 6 casinos worldwide, with hopefully more to be build in the future. Only 2 casinos in Vegas has it: Quad and Venetian. The other casinos are Morongo/Pechanga in southern california, Harrahs in AC, and River Cree in Canada.

Remember - what may be paying for me may not work for you unless you really watch how people are playing and know when to change games if nothing is happening. It is really all about timing and learning how the game pays, when to get off and change games, when is starting to die or come alive, etc. The more you play a certain game, the more you learn about how it pays, when to get off to change to a different station, etc. This is most likely why people end up having favorites and winning a lot on their favorite game by watching the games they find most interesting when others are on.

This game is not easy to win on unless you know what you are doing, know how often the bonus goes off based on the number of people playing, or if you are lucky regardless how many people are on. Usually the more players, the more often the bonus comes on.

    It never fails...

Ya know, im either cursed or just have incredibly terrible coincidental luck. For example, I used to have a video keno machine at NYNY that I always played in the morning. This thing just seemed to pay between like 7-11am. I hit that thing for probably 10 jackpots. Hit it 3 trips in a row for a handpay as literally the first machine I played in vegas. Hit it for $4700 twice, $2350, $6000, not to mention like $800 hits etc. Then one trip I got there and they moved them. Now I don't know what machine is the one I had such luck on. I also had a Colossal Reels Wizard machine that I used to kill on the bonus games there, always won money on it. Once again, I show up and its not where it was before, so I don't know which one it is. And naturally, haven't had that kind of luck since they were moved. Alas...

I keep detailed trip reports and over the past 5 years or so one thing stays the same. i win more, and more often, at MGM casinos than I do at CET ones. My bankroll lasts longer and my hits are larger even on same type games. I go about 3-4 times a year and the above is almost always the same.

For me, Monte Carlo & Bellagio seem to have the best slots/payback.

CP & Planet Ho the absolute worst. But they are 2 of the nicest casinos CET has so I play there, and lose, when i stay on a total rewards comp.
