I always check out Main Street Station for at least a few hours each trip. This last trip I reached Sapphire status for the first time after going on an all night VP bender.

I know about redeeming points - my questions are what kind of offers can I expect to receive as an out of town Sapphire tier member? What is the Sapphire reward gift that I see mentioned on their website? - they just gave me a Sapphire card when I reached the next tier. Does Main Street have a on duty host that I should call? Who is that person? I notice that I have a two night offer for July online (good every day that month) but I would love to take a trip in a week or two. I always get that inkling as soon as I get back from a winning trip. Feels like the money is burning a hole in my pocket.

Sorry for all the questions, I'm a regular visitor to Vegas and gambler but I don't really have any experience with casino hosts - I usually spread my play around - I've received numerous free room comps, and occasionally more, at various casinos but I've never been approached by a host.

I have no clue what the Sapphire gift would be.

Call MSS and ask for a host. They are usually there 9AM until ~10 PM.

Like Joe, I do not know what the Sapphire reward gift is nor do I know what is that “Special Upgrade Gift” listed in the webside for Sapphire and Emerald card holders. Please reply if you have an answer.

What I do know is that the most beneficial benefit when achieving Sapphire is that you receive 2X bonus points when gambling. From past experiences, offers were based on your daily play that determines your level. Your daily play can be determined by viewing your Card Score History on the site. You can view the total and divide it by the number of days visited.

If you look at your offer code (On the mailer or click on room offer on site). The code has a combination of 7 letters and numbers. You are probably at the “J” level, the last digit on the code. What I do know is that there has been a reduction of offers this year. We had each been averaging about 5K daily card score points and it used to come with 4 days with meals, level “C”. We are now each at level “E”, which is 4 days & no meals. We will only use one card on the next visit.

I, too, am an out-of-town visitor and play at MSS. I, too, made Sapphire for the first time-- last August-- after 3 days of VP there (with some slots mixed in) and also The Cal and The Fremont (but mostly MSS).

I only visit Vegas once or twice a year. Not sure about you.

After I got my Sapphire card, I did receive a mailer for 3 free nights at MSS (which is my "home" property), valid until 12/30/2013. But I couldn't use this offer.

I was hoping for more free nights from MSS, but sadly none were offered again. Sorry for the bad news. Not sure about your case. I never got a "gift" other than the mailer.

I do have a trip planned next month and here is what I had to do:

    * 2 free nights at The Orleans (a different Boyd property)
    * 3 paid nights at MSS at the Sapphire rate

The "Sapphire rate," for these weeknights, is $26.00/night plus tax. Not bad.

Basically, I'm getting 5 nights for under $100 so I really can't complain too much.

I like MSS a lot, but may I suggest at least playing for a few hours at The Orleans... They'll probably give also give you 2 night offers, too, which may help.

The reward/gift is 3 free nights. If you remain Sapphire after 12 months, you'll receive 3 free nights again.

I never got the $10 for the gift store but I did get 3 nts for at my choice of Boyd property. It was only valid for about 3 months though so I never got to use them.

Raisingoo, you should check bconnected.com and see if you have offers posted there and just don't receive the mailers anymore. I would be shocked if there wasn't any there. My mom is a super low roller and even she gets 2 nts and food credit offers every month from MSS.

Thanks for all the good information.

I go to Vegas a few times a year. I received occasional offers when I was a Ruby (free rooms at Orleans a couple times + food), I used to spread my play around to the Orleans and Gold Coast as well as Main Street/California. Now when I'm in that neck of the woods I prefer to play at the Palms. Don't receive any free offers for the Orleans anymore, just discounted offers. Bummed that the Palms doesn't offer points on full pay anymore.

The 2x points should be nice.

I'll keep an eye out for the 3 nights. If I don't get the chance to go in the next couple weeks it would be pretty cool to stack those with the 2 I have for July and do 5 nights at MSS for free. Love MSS, except for the limbo I have to do to take a shower. (6'1")

I'll do an informational post if I get a good offer or two.

I've spent the last several years bouncing back and forth from Ruby to Sapphire. Never noticed any significant change to my offers reflected on the bconnected site. Seems like every month forever, I get 2 or 3 room nights (Sun-Thu only) & $10 meal credit. Oh, and all of my room night offers have been solely at my "home casino" - the Fremont.
However, after I played at Gold Coast on my last 2 trips, I am getting a separate mailer from them for comped room nights (3), Sun-Thu as well. The Gold Coast offers have never shown up on my bconnected page, but I get the mailers.
Biggest change I've noticed is the reduction in room nights from 3 to 2. Perhaps 2 or 3 times a year, my monthly offer is 3 nights. Every other month is just 2.
(I guess I need to give them more play & restore my Sapphire status if I want to get better offers!)

When you go to B Connected it shows the offers for your home casino, but there is a drop down menu that allows you to see any offers you might have somewhere else.

I get offers from Orleans and Suncoast but they only show if I select them.

    MSS is my home casino.
I have been Sapphire for about 2 years now.
I go twice a year and play 90% at MSS and/or GC.
My last offer was 4 free nights, $75 Freeplay, and a meal book.
I got the same thing for May.
I get tons of offers from Orleans.

I believe my code ends with a "B".

I just got back Monday, after a 7 night stay w/Boyds, 4 nights @ MSS and 3 nights @ GC. I had the $75 FP and meal book @ MSS, and $60 FP and $50 food credit from GC.

I played between 3000-4000 pts per dy @ MSS and 5000-6000 per day @ GC.

I made Sapphire at the Gold Coast. I got a Gold Coast calendar that had really decent coupons for each month. Match plays, free slot play, points multipliers, etc.

Unfortunately, I was unable to use most of them as I hit it in December and did not return until the following December. So the first eleven months' worth of coupons went to waste.

I got some good offers for last November... but was not going to be able to travel until late December. I emailed the downtown casinos in question and asked if I could take the offers in December. One emailed back that I could not take that particular code number, but they would give me the same offer for December on a different code number. Another casino extended my comped days from 3 to 6... the length of the trip. The last had an offer for room and a larger than average free play good on Dec. 23, 24, 25 and I wasn't arriving until late Dec. 25 so they helpfully changed the 3 days to start Dec. 25, 26, 27.... but the freeplay had to be spent within the original time frame... which meant I had 3 hours to use it on Dec. 25... which was easy enough to do.
    ---
Once you email and get an email back... it is usually one of the hosts and they will be your contact from that time on. Also sent emails to all of my other casino cards telling them I would be in Las Vegas on certain days and could they do anything special for me... most gave me some little extra. Never hurts to ask... all they can do is say no.

We just booked the 4th of July Free blazing 777 Spins promotion from July 3- July 7th. It includes 4 free nights at Main Street Station and 25 free spins on the $1 Blazing 777 machines. Typically though we are offered 3 free nights and $25 in slot dollars valid any day of the week. I am a Ruby level player.

MSS bases your offers on daily average. Sapphire and Emerald are irrelevant in that sense.I have been emerald in the past and am currently sapphire. My offers have been the same for years.I recently got a downgraded offer with four nights and $50 freeplay. A quick call to a host took care of the food part of the offer. The downgrade happened because I hadn't been there in over a year.

We typically play 9-11k per day on average. I've recently discovered that 4Q and the D give equal or better offers with less play which is why I hadn't been going back to MSS.

I've been a Saphire member for a few years now and get an offer every month from MSS. I got my July offer a few days back and it's for 4 free nights & $35 free slot play. There's a good chance there's also a coupon booklet for free meals, too. It's nice to know I've got that offer pretty much whenever I want, and it's interchangeable with the California or Fremont if MSS is sold out.

To the folks getting offers from MSS: what games do you typically play? Slots, vp, etc

We've been to MSS about 5 times in the last year. We usually play 3 days with $5-$6k coin in per day. This is almost entirely on 0.25 9/6 JoB plus a little blackjack.

We get offers from the Orleans (stayed there once last year) but have never gotten one from MSS. I'm guessing it's because we play low house edge games.

    Thanks

I do not know if this is still true but you had to designate one of the three downtown Boyd casinos as your "home" casino. That is the casino where your offers will come from. It does not impact on the other Boyd casinos.

Where did you originally get your card? If outside of MSS, you had to visit the booth to make that designation. I few years back, I swapped from Fremont to MSS.
