Does anyone know if you can ask for premium liquor specifically when ordering a "free" drink while gaming when the waitress takes your order? For example, say I'm at Aria playing a slot, waitress comes to take my order, can I order a martini made with "Grey Goose." ???

I can't speak for the Aria but at Bellagio we ordered grey goose and had no problems getting it. We were playing dollar slots.

Premium Booze at CET properties usually requires a diamond card or an "upcharge" may apply!

ie: At Planet Hollywood, I was drinking Grey Goose/soda/Or Jordan Cabernet and VOSS water. Whenever I moved to a new section/table and had a different waitress and ordered, they asked to see my Diamond Card!

In the nicer hotels you can get premium liquors but always ask. They will just tell you that they can't comp it.

To the contrary, at Bellagio, Cosmo and even MGM I had no problems ordering Grey Goose (No card required)

No harm in asking and getting turned down. If you get turned down just ask them what the best available whiskey/vodka or whatever is. Many casinos have seemingly nonsensical lists of nays vs yays. One whiskey that is 30 dollars a bottle retail might be a no go, but another that sells for almost twice the price is fine. One bartender was fine with pouring me Johnny Walker Black (50-55) at Main Street, but Glenfidich (30) wasn't available on comp. The next bartender would only pour me red label (35), but I could order a premium margarita with Contreau, Jose traditional and Grand Marnier.

Great, I will ask for sure! I want to order a chocolate martini at Aria made with Grey Goose just because I rarely have martinis as home and I for sure do not make my own lol.

Another tip - play a bar top machine when the bar is slow. Strike up a conversation with the bartender and ask them for recommendations. In my experience as long as you're tipping they will bring them fast and will make sure you're getting the best complimentary drinks available.

I noticed the same thing at MGM. Playing green chip Blackjack they would bring me JW Black, but when I asked for Macallan, no go.

Same thing in the HL slot room playing $5 and $10 slots...but the JW came in 10 seconds

Oh good they have Redbull that was my other question, thanks :)

I will have to try the bar slots for premium drinks. I wonder if the bar slots pay very often though.

Older bars sometimes just have video poker/keno/blackjack. I wouldn't expect the ones that do have slots available to pay out that well (similar to penny slots), and the slots they tend to have also are more boring unfortunately.

I wouldn't expect them to be any better than the ones on the general floor. For VP at bars it's hardly ever better and sometimes a notch worse. But at places like Book & Stage at Cosmo it's offset by premium cocktails which are much more than your basic vodka tonic. They make a really good spicy bloody mary and a pretty good old fashioned.

If you're playing video poker at a bar, you're generally more likely to be able to order fancier and/or more obscure drinks. For example, my favorite cocktail is the Aviation; there's no way a cocktail waitress would be able to get a service bar to make that for the floor (and martini glasses are a pain to deal with, too), but at the lobby bar at Aria, no problem at all.
