Haven't been to Vegas since September 2012 (after having made regular 4-5 trips a year). So, I'm totally out of the loop about what is out there now. Last time I know the Clue and Michael Jackson machines were always crowded. From what I see now, Clue isn't even around.

We will be staying at Planet Hollywood. We always used to stay at Caesars but last trip decided to try something new and stayed at PH. Now our best offer ($850 in free play) is at PH so we are kind of stuck (considering how long it has been since we've gone I think it is a pretty decent offer).

So, what are the best new and fun machines to try out? I love bonus rounds (have been known to play a losing machine because I just want to see the bonus round!!).

I have tried looking at YouTube videos but they all seem to be from a few years ago.

    Thanks for any info!!

Ghostbusters isn't new but it is a lot of fun to me. Also as a kid I loved playing Monopoly so I usually throw a few dollars at a Monopoly themed machine. The Big Buck Hunter machines are fun since you can get up and use the toy shotgun to shoot big game during the bonus.

Because you said you don't mind losing and only really care about seeing the bonus round, I would recommend the limited edition release slot machine "Titan 360" and that is found only at 6 casinos worldwide. In Vegas, you will find it at the Venetian and the Quad. No other casino in vegas will have it. The bonus round is fun to watch regardless if you are playing or watching. You can go to youtube.com and type in Titan 360 to see it in action to see if you really would like to try it or not. It is a penny machine, minimum bet is 50 cents and what you get on the bonus is all multiplied based on your bet level. What you also need to know is on average every 6 minutes is when the bonus goes off if all 8 players are playing. Sometimes it goes off less than that or more than that depending on how many are playing at one time and if anyone is on the regular game free spins or not. I play this all the time at my local casino. Only Pechanga, Morongo, Venetian, Quad, Harrahs AC, and River Cree in Canada have it.

Other machines I recommend that are new that have fun bonus rounds (not sure what vegas casinos have them, but I know my local one Pechanga does): Walking Dead, Buffalo Stampede, Dragon's Law, Willy Wonka, Reels of Wheels, and that is all I can think of.

I have been looking for that myself. My local casino does not have it yet and I will be in Vegas memorial weekend, so hopefully I can find it at one of the vegas casinos.

They have them at the Cromwell. I was there when they opened the casino to the public last week and played on them but couldn't hit a thing. My husband got the bonus a few times but it didn't pay very well and that was on max bet. I definitely like the older one better.

We hated that machine. Played for a bit at the Quad, there were a few others playing too and we didn't see any bonus rounds for anyone.

There are so many out there even since your last visit.
There are the high profile ones but also many of the newer ones aren't the big named ones.

PH usually has a relatively small selection of the big named slots, but with Paris right next door and connection to Ballys you will have plenty from which to choose.

It varies depending on how it pays out earlier in the day too. If someone won a big jackpot on it before you got on or a while before you got on, it could take between 10-15 minutes before it starts paying on average every 6 min again. 2 weeks ago when I got on when I got to the casino, the bonus was going off like crazy every 2-3 minutes on average until someone got a prize upgrade and the major. After that (around 9:30), the bonus went off on average the rest of the night between 6-8-12 minutes, sometimes 20 minutes until I left for the bus around 1:15am. The times was like this because people kept getting on and off the games with an average about 5 people spinning continuously, 2 people playing around taking their ticket in and out for like 2 hours. The main problem was those 2 people that were just sitting around not really playing. I only played it for a little while that night because not all 8 players were playing and people were messing around. I watched on and off and played around the area and listened to the band most of the night.

If all 8 are playing continuously, it will average every 6 minutes and majority of the time like I experienced, less; however, finding people messing around or just sitting there will mess up the average like I explained on what happened 2 weeks ago. Also 2 weeks ago, there were people getting 100+ free spins at almost the same time as well, which changed the bonus average as well.

Just make sure you have a group of friends with you if you go play on it in Vegas. If you go to AC, Morongo, River Cree, or Pechanga, you should have no problem getting on by yourself and seeing the bonus go off most of the time every 2-3 minutes with all 8 players on. At the local casinos, wait time to get on any of the 8 games can be 30 min to an hour wait or if lucky, 15 min wait.

How long were you playing for and how many people were on? The more players, the more bonuses. Did you also check the screen on top to see when the last big jackpot was paid? That could change how often the bonus goes off as well, but what I read on Konami's article is that it is determined by how many times out of all 8 machines have spun to decide when the bonus will come on. Article says average 30 spins per machine or 200-250 spins adding all 8 machines together if all 8 players are playing at once. If there is less than 8 players, the math will change. Also, the average that the bonus goes off could change by some machines being on free spins or by people letting their winning credits run until it is done to start spinning again. Some when they win, they hit spin again to get their credits quick and then spin again.

Clue is my all time fav board game and love the movie!! I figured as slot, it was perfect for me. Not so much, couldn't win anything and didn't find it that exciting. Id try Willy Wonka or the Michael Jackson game, I have lots of fun on those.

This is TOTALLY my wife. I like playing the slots OK, but that girl LOVES a bonus round and I love watching her when one hits. I've seen her get more excited over a $5 win on a bonus than most people get hitting a full jackpot.

Man, that's a big sucker, huh? And very subtle and quiet bonus round there! :wink We're definitely gonna try and find that one.

On a side note ... videos of slots is a thing? How am I just now coming to this realization. That's gonna rock my wife's world!

I dont think they were getting enough play and I'm sure it cost the casino too much to keep them. In October of last year a few places still had them and there was never anyone playing.

They've put in the new Clue machines, which look pretty cool. I'll be sure to try one this week!
