I will be playing tour guide for my family 6 grown ups and 2 late teen boys. All able walkers and none of them gamblers. We will be staying at MGM. We have designated one day to see as many interesting things on the strip as possible. Let me know what else to consider seeing/doing. Here are my tentative plans so far:

Breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi at 8am
    walk through the Linq
    Ride the High Roller
See the gondolas at the Venetian
    See the fountains at Bellagio
    ride the tram to Montecarlo
    ride the NYNY Rollercoaster
be back at MGM for a late afternoon swim
    Head downtown
    Zip Lining (if open)
    Dinner at Triple 7
see the Freemont Street Light Show

please let me know your thoguhts - more? less?

8 people on the high roller will be very expensive and not necessarily worth the money return.

Not sure the days you are going but check the concerts on fremont for the days you are there. some good bands out there to cap off end of day.

I figure half the strip one day. downtown another day. its gone take 30min once u walk in the door at nyny to get to coaster line. Are u going eat or take bathroom break ,cool off. I usually only do about 1/3 of the stuff I plan every trip.
No Forum shops or Mirage ,Wynn ,Flamingo pool , Luxor ,circus circus for the younger ones new coaster their too. Just off the top of my head. STOP at smell the Roses and ENJOY.
Tip walk one way, cab or bus your way back

Go up the Stratosphere tower? If you time it right, you can go on your way to Downtown.

I'd add the dolphins/tigers at Mirage. Have fun!

I'd add the Flamingo Habitat as it is close to the Linq

one more thing i suggest is buying the 24 hour bus pass. There may be times you find yourself very tired and it will help. We did it as a hop on hop off sometimes while we were there. It also gets you downtown and back. Unless you have a vehicle. For this type of day though i would still take the bus.

fyi, Bellagio fountains don't start until 3pm on weekdays, noon only on Sat and Sun. Might be hard to make it back for late afternoon swim.

There is always the conservatory and chocolate fountain at Bellagio. The STRAT may be fun for all.

The Strat is a little far. We are talking about July 2 by the way. (Hence my desire to get back for a little pool time late in the afternoon.)

We may start off by saving a little time and taking the monorail from MGM to Ballys in time for our breakfast at Paris. And I think the tram from Bellagio is one of the coolest free rides in Vegas. I always feel like riding through the City Center is like the opening scene of the old Jetsons cartoon.
