appreciate recommendations to add to my list for quick eats downtown for our upcoming stay. So far I have Pizza Rock walk-up slices, Pop Up Pizza and the new improved café at Binions

    TIA! :wiggle:

Le Thai might be the best downtown restaurant.

Another vote for the Brew Pub 777. The service has always been very good there. Fortunately, I've been able to travel internationally and know what customer service is and they do have it.

Not in any order -- just what pops into my head:

    1. The breakfast & lunch buffets at MSS can be very quick & economical when the lines look short.

    2. 777 Brewpub

    3. LeThai, but not during busy times

    4. DuPars diner at Golden Gate

    5. Binion's Cafe

    6. Pop Up Pizza at Plaza

    7. Magnolia's at Four Queens.

    8. D Grille on second floor of the D Casino

    9. Aloha Specialties at the Cal

    10. The D Casino has a 24 hr hot dog place

    11. The D has a McDonalds

  6. Love American Hot Dogs...The D might be getting a visit

It's not fast...but very good. Lilly's Asian in the GN is outstanding. If you sit at one of the regular tables the service is very quick. Some of the best Chinese I've ever had. Portions are large - FYI.

ElCo for the $5 Jackie Burger, chips and a beer.

Lanai Express in the Fremont. Similar to Panda Express.

Sit at the counter at the Market St Cafe for quicker service.

I went to Nacho Daddy and had an amazing pork taco. I was hungry and had the taco and some chips with salsa and could not finish the chips. I have read that the nachos are great too.

    I liked Comida too.

The other places I liked that fit the bill were already mentioned by robert m.

I like the cal lanai on the 1st floor by the entrance facing binions. Lots of "Hawaiian" type foods like fried noodles, bbq beef, katsu, and bentos. I usually eat the hamburger steaks or the chicken wing plate there.

As others mentioned, aloha specialties restaurant is on the 2nd floor promenade with "Hawaiian" type food also.

island sushi at the plaza was pretty good too.

There are many places to eat, depends on how much you want to spend, sit down or take out place and how much you want to pay.

I love Las Vegas and I love good food. I spent 6 days in Vegas downtown in late December and compiled this list of food specials downtown by casino... so when I got hungry at any casino, I would know which specials were nearby to me. Some are expensive, but are an extra good value. In 6 days we usually eat 2 really nice dinners. Most are things I would eat for a light lunch or just a regular dinner. Price were accurate in December 2013.

Hey you guys..... How come nobody mentioned the Cal Club next to the craps tables at the Cal.

This place is like the Lanai Express at the Fremont. Good, quick eats from burgers and sandwiches to plates like Teriyaki steak, hamburger steak, Steak and vegetable stir-fry (my favorite) among others.

Prices ranges from 3 to 8 dollars. There are some tables to sit and eat there and take out is available.

Quick eats? If I don't want to sit down, probably Mermaids (dollar hot dogs, fries for like 1.25 and chili and cheese for a tiny bit extra). If I'm drunk, probably a couple McDoubles at the Ds or Plaza's McDonalds.

IMO sit down restaurants are where it's at downtown. There are so many great options that doing fast food makes little sense to me. Magnolia's at Four Queens, Dupars at Golden Gate, Hash House a Go Go at the Plaza, the diner at the California, brew pub at Main Street Station, a burger at either Binions or El Cortez (5 bucks for a half pounder with a beer and chips) when I don't mind a little bit of a walk.

One place that barely gets mentioned is Cous cous mediterannean cafe in Neonopolis. If kabobs are your thing, this place is great. The kabob meals are huge, with tons of meat, and very good quality, Semi healthy too. Easily one of my favorite places in all of DT.
