Table Games Cromwell table games & limits

Just hoping that people can contribute to what the my have seen as far a what games are offered and what what the table limits are?

says that the blackjack-- or at least one table, anyway-- will be 3:2. No word yet on limits.

I know this doesn't help much, but I thought I'd share...

 

We are CET People.

But, we are VP/Slot/$5 3CP people.

Since this is a CET property, We know this is their upscale property.

All CET's are VP poor, and the game we play is Bonus Poker (CET = 6/5).

I think what DonnyC is looking for are the actual games/limits/rules that can be found at the Cromwell, not guesses based upon assumptions/other properties/distaste of CET/etc.

For some games, that's simply the minimums that can be found (like 3 Card); others will be a bit more involved (like if ALL BJ is really 3:2, minimums, # decks, etc).

If you are able to swing by there and see what's available, report back!

 

Remember, they have only announced a 'soft opening' for late April / May. This place might not be open to the general public at all, yet. Just to people that are staying there. Certainly possible.

I think that there will probably be a lot of threads about their gaming and figured maybe we could have only one thread that talks about their games and table limits so that we can all know and find it easily.

Just saw this picture from the soft opening today. Aaaand 6:5 blackjack.

Disappointing, but not surprising.

 

Did you think all of Cromwell would be 3:2 S17 like the other felt? :evillaugh What's even more annoying to me is that CET puts that crappy 13% edge bet "21+3 Extreme" on all those 6:5 tables too.

 

Of course not. I was hoping for 3:2 H17. And the side bets only bother me because they slow down the game tremendously.

 

On the positive side, Vital Vegas reports relatively low mins, including a $5 craps table.

Their dealers are dressed exactly like Cosmo's dealers.

I doubt $5 craps will last but I'll take it for now.

 

As to the Cromwell: BLACKJACK PREDICTION: it will look just like Flamingo and the rest of CET. Mostly 8-deck, H17. If the limit is $10 you get 6:5. If the limit is $15 or higher you get 3:2. And perhaps some 2-decks, NDAS, H17 for $25.

The 21+3 Extreme sidebet is extremely lame; it's not that different from the Pair Plus paytable at 3CP, but you DON'T GET PAID ON A PAIR. It's like playing regular VP and Jacks or better pays nothing. And 13.x% is right. What a rip.

It's not too bad for speed as it doesn't get paid off that often, but the dealer does have to spend time every hand collecting the losing bets. Lucky Ladies is my favorite but I see it pretty rarely anymore (Gold Coast, maybe?), because just by doing your regular Hi-Lo count you can hit the right point to bet that thing with an advantage.

I wish someone would trot out Over/Under 13 again. You can make a killing on that with a special count, especially with 2-decks.

The worst one I've seen for the slowness factor was some abortion called 'In-Between' that I've seen in Pennsylvania and Biloxi where the dealer's upcard needs to be between your first two cards. This dealer had to stop and read it off the felt and figure it out EVERY TIME.... "Let's see, your cards are 3 apart, so that's a spread 2, so that's 6:1...." I swear the dealer never could memorize any of the payoffs the entire session.

 

Ugh, I played on that 'in between' table in PA once; it was brutal. I left after one shoe.

I've seen lucky ladies at a few places, but can't remember where. I've never played it though, because besides not knowing the correct count to bet it, I felt that it would be a complete giveaway as to what I was doing. Like, only playing it when I have a big bet out? Red flag, I'd think.

You're right that some side bets slow the games down more than others, but it's not just the payouts that eats time. It's also the constant changing of chips into smaller denominations for the side bet, then deciding how much to bet on it, then paying out the winnings (if any), and collecting the losing bets. Also, any decent win would always warrant a call to the floor supervisor, so that would tack on an extra few minutes.

Is Flamingo $10 all 6:5 now? Dang. I used to play there only a couple of years ago and I found $10 3:2, even in Margaritaville. I'll check it out when I'm there next week. The cocktail waitresses were hawt.

The side bet itself doesn't look to be that bad though. 3.4% for six decks given the 12-6-4-1 paytable w/30 to 1 bonus for trips. But I agree it's not as easy to evaluate as some other side bets.

 

Not only is it a 6/5, it looks like it's a 10 deck shoe too. I have seen a 10 deck at Bill's.

So those hoping for a revolutionary new market strategy, as in offering a good gamble, can keep hoping and looking.

And did anyone else notice that the guy doubled his 13 vs. dealer's 10 (or 9)? Perhaps that was a staged photo, huh?

 

To me it looks like 8, possibly even 6. Did they really have 10-deck shoes? Holy god.

I think they took the pic after he was paid, not a double, which is why the third card isn't placed horizontally.
