Do both casinos have $5 table games during the week? MGM Grand used to, but I haven't played there in several years. I have never been in the Mirage. I have identical offers from both places and am trying to decide between the two.

I've stayed at the Mirage the last 4 trips...I've only seen one $5 table and it's the one where you can sit on the low chairs - because it has like 2 handicapped spots at it. It's always packed and people wait to get on it. I haven't seen a $5 table at MGM in forever. Most are $10 during the week and $15 on the weekends.

MGM has more tables overall so if you are looking to be able to play lower limit BJ in the evenings, especially over a weekend I would go with MGM only because the Mirage casino is smaller so there aren't as many tables and they are always packed during those times.

This is JUST me..........I DO NOT like the MGM CASINO and would play at ANY other casino even if the minimum is higher elsewhere.

Haven't stayed at either but Mirage to me is a little more central. Don't care to go to anything past aria except MB for Boarders Grill and Mix Lounge. Love the mirage look with the volcano and landscaping.

Just got back after gambling at both. Never saw a $5 table at either place, at times it was hard to find a $10 table.

Wife and I usually just go with $10 tables so we've never really looked for $5 tables at either... but between the two I prefer the Mirage casino: just seems to have an overall better atmosphere at the table games and in the poker room and a better selection of newer slot machines than MGM Grand (or maybe MGM Grand has the better selection but the place is so freakin' huge that they're so spread out).

But I might pick MGM Grand because:
    - there are all the other MLife casinos/properties in the area. We prefer to gamble at MLife properties and Mirage is kind of alone out there
    - can find cheap table games at Tropicana and Hooters
    - MGM Grand has a food court for cheap breakfasts and late night dining

To me, the Mirage in general is way too cramped. Seems like everything and everyone is on top of one another. I haven't seen $5 tables at either in a few years. I personally like the MGM grand... It does have it's crowd bottlenecks but overall big enough to have good flow.

I prefer the MGM. Many more restaurant options than the Mirage and also many more gambling tables than the Mirage. Both pools are great although it is easier to find chairs IMO at the MGM pool only because it is much larger than Mirage's pool.

    MGM Grand for the win.

Limits will be similar at both. It will be hard to find a $5 table at either one (I have seen $5 games at both though in the early mornings).

Mirage is smaller with less selection, and all their blackjack is 6-5 now so avoid it like the plague.

This is what I was looking for. I am not a blackjack player, so it sounds like a toss up between the two as far as table minimums. Looks like I will have to try and bump up my bankroll a little more than planned.

Now to decide if I want to try someplace new to me (Mirage) of the familiar (MGM). I haven't been to the MGM since they have done the their remodeling.

I went Sept 2-9 last year and
During the week(Monday-Thurs) in the mornings they had a couple $5 BJ tables open until about 10-11am, then it went to $10. They had $10 all night.

Weekends(starting friday) they start at $10 in the early morning and the lowest you'll find is $15 at night.

Have never stayed at either......but if you stay at the Mirage, you can walk across the street and play $5 BJ anytime you want at Casino Royale

Limits will be the same in general. MGM is bigger so more likely to find a spot at a table. Mirage is a better location and close to casino royale and a couple other lower rolling joints whee you night find five buck tables
