This has happened to me quite a few times in different casinos. I am winning constantly on a machine and then I see a black suit walk by, check me out and....the machine grows cold! believe what you will, but I can only go based on my experiences. And when I see a black suit now just standing around near my sweet sweet slot....I pick up and leave.

Ohh yeah...but if I come back some time later, the slot is still nice!

Is that just your own personal superstition or do other people believe in this?
Usually if I see anyone in a suit at a casino I figure they're probably some sort of management.

    Its all in your head.

Wow, sounds like a topic for Dr. Phil. Stick with it and when you start winning more, the black suit will become your good luck charm.. lol

It's a good thing you're not playing table games; pit critters usually wear suits and walk by all the time. Hummm, maybe that's the problem I've been having!

Gamblers are always superstitious and paranoid :)

But so are many casino execs. Especially pit bosses and floormen. they act like they're losing their own money if there is a hot craps dealer. I've seen some switch out dice in the middle of a hot roll. And of course there is the whole "Cooler" thing (rent "The Cooler" sometime).

I for one DO NOT thinks it's all in her head!

Casino's on the strip will do whatever (or Bioloxi, AC, and so on).

I know about the Players Club Cards. I've been at a hot table, and the suit changes the Dealer, and now the suits roaming and PAUSING at the hot slot someone's on (yea he see slots 24*7, but he stops and looks at this one particular slot, yea, righttttttt), I'm not surprised at all.

Anyone remember Mind Play tables and BJ, and how they CHEATED (changed the odds of the game = illegal) on the auto shuffle when the count goes positive?

What about the employee at the IP that complained about a bank of rigged slots, only to have his cell phone snatched from his hand then physically restrained when he threaten to call gaming Control about it. I still have the link if anyone is interested.

Gaming later confirmed the slot machines were, er , uh ... Malfunctioning (yea, right, and they are all in bed together). WTF is a malfunctioning slot, when it keeps accepting bets. It's called RIGGED.

He won a $250K law suit against IP.

Anyone remember American Coin Company, who's VP at full coin was rigged to never hit a Royal? And before the programmer can testify in court against the CEO as to how he was instructed to program the VP game, he is knocked off in the driveway of his home!

The house has much more, than just the built in house advantage working for them. And with the technology today, it is scary knowing what that technology is capable of doing. And the temptation when BIG MONEY is involved, well, you figure it out. Governments do it, Countries do it, COPRORATES do it, when BIG Money is involved.

So if she says this has REPEATABILITY happened to her over TIME, it starts to lean more towards Fact...than fiction.

As to why I still visit a Casino if I believe all of this?

As the old saying goes when buying used merchandise.. BUYER BEWARE. :evillaugh

We go with a limited bankroll for entertainment while in Vegas. If we thought the casino's were 100% legit, we would instantly triple our bank roll. Just don't trust them, and so the bank roll is the minimum for what we like to do.

I don't think that a guy in a black suit can cool you but I did have an spooky experience where I was on hot streak on a slot. I was betting one coin on max lines and every now and again I would increase my bet. Most of the times I did, I had a bigger win or went into the bonus. Plus the bonus rounds were retriggering and I hit four scatters for 50 free games more than once. I had can't remember what my total win was but at some point a security guard came over. I don't know why he was there and I didn't care. I got creeped out and left.

I can't stand playing blackjack on the tables with the perpetual automatic shuffler.

I feel it would be very easy for the house to sneak a few face cards out of the circulation and give the house a much bigger advantage.

Nothing more than observational bias. Every time I hit a streak on a machine there is a chain-smoking Asian within 20 feet of me, too.

If that is your mojo on slots, I would seek out the chain-smoking Asians.

I think its all psychological and rhythm based. I could be playing good and all of the sudden get distracted by either people by me winning, people walking by and being loud, someone talking to me, etc and then start losing and would have to get up and change machines. I could also be doing real good and then a bonus comes on, does not pay well, then the game itself stops paying.

I think the "suit" is on the ground and it may be being switched elsewhere.

I'm with you whivgoytube. "Governments do it, Countries do it, COPRORATES do it, when BIG Money is involved." It is simply natural.

I don't go looking for these people. They only show up when you are SUPER hot and have stayed for some time.

The same thing happens on the table. Sometimes when you get too hot, they take you out. Simple.

Thats a good film. Great cast! I believe its the El Cortez for a lot of the casino background. In fact I stayed there with my oldest son for this 30th BD, and felt bad because it was the worst room I have ever had in Vegas. But my son was ok with it because of the "Cooler" film.
