Whooohoooo pool season!!! is upon us.

Talk to me. This will be my first time to go to a dayclub.

What's in the cards for me? :poker:

Encore Beach Club is a definite. I hope their customer service is more like XS and less like Surrender.

I would also like to try Marquee and Wet Republic. How do they all compare?

Why do you want to go to a day club - I'm still unsure if I want to go so I'll be interested to hear what people say.

Because some of us go to Vegas to go to the pool, get some sun and party.

Why WOULDN'T she want to go to one? She's a young single woman, she'll get her drinks paid for, and she'll have a blast dancing outside under the sun.

I realize we have a contingent on this board who loves to criticize anything pricey and loud, but the top day clubs she describes are pretty damn fun.

    WOW!!

    Easy people.

I'm asking what the appeal is, and looking for perspective from those that want to answer her question.

Yah, most of my posts are criticizing people - so I can see why those assumptions were made...oh, wait. I mean hardly any of my posts are criticizing.

That's why I said I'd be interested in hearing peoples response. I guess the 'I'm still unsure if I want to go' part wasn't obvious enough...yes, now I'm criticizing.

The appeal, at least to me, is sun, water, drinks, bikinis, music, and the general party vibe. I can have fun there, then get a nap and spend my evening inside an air conditioned casino.

Donny, I certainly don't consider you one of the overly critical types. I actually think you may be depriving yourself of a fun experience since you have read so much criticism here.

I'm also curious to hear about Marquee vs Wet Republic. We'll be there May 2 - 4th, so am expecting daybed / cabana prices to be higher with the Mayweather fight and Cinco de Mayo the same weekend.

Marquee looks more compact, while Wet Republic seems more spreadout... but would like to hear from folks who have actually been to both.

    Cheers

My 2 cents...First off you must be ready to hear a full day of EDM at MDC, EDM and a lot of times Wet. Secondly my group runs the ages of 25-me at 44. The 3 under 30 don't care as long as they can drink and scout out the women to chat up.

I am a huge fan of EDM so I focus on who is where when we go to the pools.

The major dj's Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Kaskade, Avicii and such draw huge crowds which will always raise the mins on cabanas, beds, lily pads, etc.

The group I go with always does pre sale so we can walk around and such. Our focus is primarily the night scene so spending a ton during the day to attempt to do it again at night doesn't go for us. So our criteria for pools is access to the bar or server for service.

EBC is the best party I have been to hands down. Also enjoy the layout a lot more than the others for access to move around and mingle. Never a problem getting a drink there.

MDC to me was built for food and beverage minimums only when we went last year. Going back to see Audien this upcoming Friday so will have feedback upon my return.

Wet Republic is personally more of a college/frat atmosphere. Went for the Hot 100 on a Friday and maybe because that was occurring it was that way. Went to see Laidback Luke also and am a fan of his but still didn't enjoy it as much. Was able to get a drink easily but the vibe wasn't right for me. Age???

Will be trying Rehab on Saturday since I fly out Sunday while there so I'll report back. Feedback I have gotten from friends who have been there warn me since Wet is not a favorite I may not last long in Rehab.

    Hope this helps.
