Hey all, I'm sure this explained on another thread about Social Rewards but I looked at the two most recent posts first two pages and it wasn't there so I'll just start a new thread.

I have about $60 in CET credit now through that program. Can that be used to pay for the full price of a meal, show or room? For example, my dad loves some bakery in Paris. I imagine that stop won't be more than $40. Could my credits cover that whole thing?

Also, I may visit a spa, but only want to use part of the credits (maybe $15 or $20 toward a service). Is it possible to ask to split the payment between part of my Social Rewards credit and my credit card?

    Thanks.

I was told by the Total Rewards people to charge it to the room, then you can apply the Reward Credits you want to spend at check-out.

I had a bunch on my card and just handed to the person checking me out at Burgr, Planet Dallies & Le Village Buffet. They took it off my card right there.

Yes, the best thing to do is charge everything possible to the room. However, if you are coming into Vegas with a large number of RCs, as I did on my last trip, it's a good idea to use them in the gift shop or some such thing. A bally's host took all of mine before comping the rest of my bill last month, even though my play would have gotten everything comped off anyways. Nowadays they always use your RCs first, regardless of whether they need them or not. He advised my to use them at my home property on food and such, so that the only ones I have in Vegas are the ones I earned on that trip.

Don't charge everything to your room - if you do (and there seems to be a lack in constancy) you get charged tax...which = more reward points used.

If they are using your reward points first...before any back end comps, then there certainly is NO advantage to charging to your room and a certainty that you will burn through more points to cover the tax dollars.

    Card

Just pay for everything as you go with the rewards card. It's easy and simple. Just have your picture ID with you.

    Definitely agree with this.

Use your RC's before checking out. They HAVE to take them off first, even if your play would cover comps.

Are rewards credits usable at any resort or do you use ones earned through Social Rewards at Paris only at Paris and so on.

Louse the RCs there and don't charge to the room. I believe if you chafe to the room you pay tax but if you pay there no tax...save a few $$

It doesn't matter if your points are from Social Rewards or from playing or a combination of both. They all spend the same.

It is easiest to pay at the point of sale. Although I have a friend that just saves his for checkout and uses them against his resort fees.

It makes sense to pay at the POS. I still like to charge to the room. I think its an ego thing:cool:
