I hope this will be the beginning of a new era for the north end of the strip. Since the Stardust went down there is no reason to go north of Encore. I used to enjoy doing a Stardust/Ho/Slots/ triple play. Sometimes I'd also venture to the Sahara and Holy Cow for a good brew (ahead of their time with good craft beer).

Interesting. They are priced below Wynn/Bellagio/Cosmo, but not much. Lots of different towers/room types and it will be tough to tell what the advantages of each are until the place opens.

I just wonder how they are going to get premium players in w no existing database?

SLS is projecting 30% of their revenue to come from gaming, which is the lowest on the strip. At the very least they know who they are. SLS would be ecstatic with Cosmo numbers because their cost structure is completely different. More realistically they want their numbers to look like Cosmopolitan lite, which is okay. Their goals are similar, but the economic scale is very different. Cosmopolitan cost 4b to build and the SLS renovation will cost 415m.
