I made my first trip to Vegas after a long hiatus in Nov/2013 and was contacted via phone and email that I was appointed a casino sales executive after that one trip based out of PH.

I made a short 2 day trip again in January where I earned 900 tier credits plus 125 bonus one day, then 1000 base plus 1000 bonus the last day.

I went on line through the rate calendar and booked a 3 night comped stay at Caesars for May 29-June 1st. I e-mailed this person on 2 separate occasions-

    1) To attach an offer code I later rec'd through marketing (300 FP)
    2) see if she could get a lunch reservation for the soon to open Giada restaurant at the new CET property assuming it was open by then.

In both cases, she never returned any response, and I eventually called reservations myself and attached the offer code as she didn't do it. She's not contacted me for anything or offered anything above what I get from the marketing dept.

My questions based on others experience-

    1) Am I misguided in what I think she's there for? If so, please clarify as I'm not sure what she's there for!
    2) I notice many people charge things to their room and then request their contact to review their play to see if any other charges can be covered. She indicates she is not working Sundays and Mondays, I always check-out on Sundays, so couldn't ask for a review of my play....suggestions?

Any input here would be appreciated! I don't have any experience with casino contacts to rely on here-
    thanks a bunch!

i just posted about this. time for a new host for you. my guess is your play isnt big enough to warent her time.

and yes to always chgarge everything to your room and see if they can comp it off at the end but rember cet will usualy use rc credits first then remove the extra if its warrents.

not know what you played and how long but reading from your post your really didnt do much action for them besides free roms and what ever they offerd up front.that what cet basicaly does

even if your host isnt in when you check out theres a host on duty and you can always see your host the day before to setlle up.

I only play 1 cent slots- lots of Wonder 4 machines 3.20 per spin, more if I'm doing ok ....will play maybe 4-6hours per day on their properties. I was surprised to be assigned someone in the first place!

How would I go about requesting a new contact?

Thanks a bunch for the feedback!

CET (and all casinos) love slot players, and I'd imagine your play per spin and amount of time playing per day would warrant a host.

I'm guessing CET would consider your "home casino" PH seeing as how that's where you last stayed. So I would call there first and ask to talk to a host there. Explain you have not heard a peep out of this, "casino sales executive" and would like a host that will take the time to converse with you.

Averaging $3+ per spin and playing 4+ hours (actual playing time) is a pretty good player for the house. If that is truly your play, and that is your average play, you're a solid lower roller and you're likely deserving of some sort of efficient host assistance.

Ask for another host or for a host directly on property.

I prefer an on-property host, as I can meet, talk and get a more personal level of service. I can build and maintain more of a relationship.

What would be a reasonable expected (range) of comps for that play?

IMO, obviously a decent room and a meal or two taken off your bill, depending on how many days your stay is.

You'd likely get offers for 5-day rooms and some FP.
CET is not one to offer a lot of F/B upfront, but want you to charge it to your room and they take off what they can based on your play.

Again, remember it always comes down to your ADT, not the color of your card.

After I made Diamond a couple of years ago I called Caesars Palace directly and asked to speak to a host as that was where we wanted to stay the next time we went. I got a wonderful man who at that point had been a host there for 27 years. He booked our room for us and I asked if I could keep him as my host and he agreed. About 2 months later I got a call from a girl in Marketing saying she was my contact and to feel free to contact her if I ever needed anything.

I have called her once to ask for a limo pickup at the airport which she did arrange and then charged me for. For everything else I have always used the host I claimed myself and he has always removed all of our charges at the end of the trip.

2 weeks ago my husband had a voice mail from a different marketing rep who claims to be his contact. She said she would email her contact details, we're still waiting.

My point to all this is that you don't have to use the people that reach out to you. Call the hotel you're interested in staying at and ask to speak to the host on duty. If you like them, ask if they will agree to be your host.

changing hot is easy just ask next time your there but i belive the free rooms and up front money is basicaly what your worth to them.

being comped 5 nites in a row is a big plus and very easy to get a cet and what ever free play you, so i think your offers are on par with your play, now if you take a 20k hit on one trip thats differnt story.

rember color of your card means nothing and basicaly i never use a host, i just ask if i need something done at cet, mlife you really need a host as they have all the power ,cet is run much more by the book.

ive said this before unless your a really big player why waste a favor on such a small thing like a resturant reservation.that you could usualy get done 99.99 percent off the time yourself or any of the little stuff.

Wow- you guys are good.....those are exactly the offers I've been getting....I've got about 27 pending offers....last one was 5 nts and 2 tix to Celine Dion....so it sounds like marketing is where it should be! I get very little free play offers, or they are specific to very few dates.

I had googled my hosts name, and she shows up living in Vegas, and 21 years old. Lol, she's just made legal to show up to her workplace, so I'm guessing I'm likely a low roller getting the inexperienced, but honestly, don't bother reaching out to me if you are just going to ignore me! I was reaching out for the reservations as I know total rewards members had advance access to the hotel reservations, so I was anticipating the same for the restaurant, otherwise I would agree not to bother wasting their time on the little stuff.

Thanks so much for the input. I'm going to stay at Caesars next month.and slot Gods willing, I hope to cross the threshold to platinum this trip. Maybe use it as a good excuse to talk to an on duty host to see if anything could be covered and maybe see if there is a different host to connect with. Will let you know how things turn out!!

the only thing i can tell you because i went thru this they dont care about your card color unless its 7* or diamond for host cold call in fact when i show my low card they just said go away.

my suggestion is if you realy put the time in go to a lower end property, ceasars is there top property and try it from there but im still notsure what you want from a host.

all a host will do is say charge everything to your room as stop by on the way out to the host on duty and they will review your play, belive it or not slot play for them is all down to numbers, table play thers more leway so im noture what you expect on top of that you have to play off your nitely room lets say 200$ a nite, 3 nite so 600$ plus 300 free play so basicly a 900$ comp to begin with.i think your expecting way to much for such litlle sorry to burst your bubble.

as i said loss 10 grand , 20 grand then you can start asking for stuff.

    As said, forget card color

    1. Never chase comps or play for comps
    2. Card color means squat, other than Diamond or 7* so you can use special lines and stuff. Go to Biloxi, Tunica (even Vegas locals) and other places, and you see low rollers (low, LOW rollers) who are diamond, and they make it on frequency, not ADT. So while they have a Diamond card, their ADT stinks, so their offers stink as well.
    3. If you are staying a number of days, remember to spread that play across each day within that casino family (CET/MGM/Wynncore/V-P) in order to not damage your ADT and future offers.
    4. I have come to believe, if you are a player who will never make Diamond or 7* or maintain a decent ADT, take the discounted rooms over free rooms, then you have less pressure to keep that ADT up and you also give the players club a little more leeway to either comp off those room charges or maybe a couple meals, because as soon as you accept those free rooms, you have a play expectation to overcome before any discretionary comps can be given.

Take the $50 a night discount before free, less pressure to play to a certain level and you may be able to get that comp'd off at the end, or some meals, and if you don't, oh well, you were willing to pay it anyway.

I know a few who do this and find it quite liberating as they feel no loyalty or pressure to play to a certain level.

i disagrre about cet take the free rooms as long as you dont use a host it wont matter, book by offer or just use the tr caladender ,

cet wont comp the backend for low rollers in vegas they will use rc credits first then say sorry you play doesnt warrent it.

take free rooms and what ever else up front and play at what ever level your comfortablewith.
eventualy they will keep giving you stuff if they feel its worth to them or level you off.

    NEVER!

Over 5 nights...you've right away given $250 back. (maybe more if the resort fee gets waived on a comp room)

It's going to be hard to get $250 back end comps!

Too clarify, where my confusion is lies in the casino host. I agree, I'm a low roller compared to a lot, so I was shocked when they reached out to me to assign someone.....I didn't request anyone at anytime, nor did I ask for my play to even be considered at the end of either trip.

i didn't request even at that anything over the marketing offers ( which I feel are generous).....it's the point of them reaching out to me inviting me to use them, only for my requests to go completely unanswered after they sought me out. I could handle a no, do it yourself, or oops! We made a mistake and you shouldn't have been assigned.....but giving me someone to ignore me is really disappointing!

in the meantime, I will take advantage of free offers, will stay consistent with my bankroll, and play the way I normally would, but will continue to direct my play at where I think the comps will continue......but agreeably probably shouldn't bother with a host anytime soon!!

    I don't agree.

I would contact a host. I also thought I should not either, but did anyway, and it has turned out to be a really good thing. A host can remove other things from your bill, help with reservations, possibly comping more days up front, etc. I also agree to use your RC's on meals and other things you might comp to the room. Comp yourself with these, as they will take them off as they have to. Good luck to you.

    Several Host Changes...

CET is terrible for host changes. My wife and I have been gold, platinum, and diamond and have had about 7 hosts in five years. The host you have isn't worth much...ours always gets back to us even if they can't help, we at least know and can book on our own. Agree with other posters...call the property you want to stay at and ask for a host. Your play is definitely worth a host. We stopped playing at CET two years ago and still have a host who books us comped rooms.

The color of the card only matters for their major offers...the free seven day Caribbean cruise we received at diamond was quite nice and included free drinks on the cruise while in the casino.

Thanks for the feedback, it has been really helpful.

When I go to Vegas, it's usually with only about $2500 bankroll, so my play volume on the slots becomes largely dependant on the "play value" I'm able to hit over the 3 days. As such, I'd likely never ask for anything upfront beyond my marketing offers. When I'm winning or doing well, I'll increase my bet from the 3.20 in hopes I win....which sometimes makes for some long large sessions, so I think I'm in good position more for the back end comps from a host.

In planning for that, I have a food question. I think I made a "rookie" mistake on a marketing food credit at PH last trip, they gave me a $50 credit...I charged to the room a meal at PF CHANGS, and at checkout they said it wasn't covered by the credit as it wasn't a Caesars owned restaurant. Grrr.

My question is this...as a newbie to the host experience.....when choosing my dining on my upcoming trip, do I limit myself to the CET restaurants that marketing covers, and only at the property I'm staying at, or do I just eat wherever and charge to my room in the event I feel my play is possibly going to justify a back end comp if I ask? I don't want to make a bunch of charges that have no hope of being covered even if my play justified it. My room is already covered this trip and I'm getting $300 in free play. Don't expect there to be any other charges to the room as I'm only going to one show at Cosmo, and they are covering the costs of the 2 tix.

thanks for any comment on the food question and if I get reasonable play value this trip I may summon the courage on the back end of the trip to talk to the host on call!
