The promo trailer for this kind of makes it look like just another BS reality show, hard to tell. Starts Weds 3/19.

CNBC's “Money Talks” takes viewers inside the world of Steve Stevens, a sports handicapper who runs VIP Sports out of Las Vegas. Each one-hour episode follows Stevens and his agents who sell their picks to gamblers looking for any kind of edge. From small-time bettors to big-time whales who put six figures on the line, this is a world built on high risk, high reward and high emotions.

I've already seen it. It was called "Two for the Money" a movie with Al Pacino and Matthew McConaughey. :confused2:

I watched about 3 minutes of the tease and it is nothing more than a crappy reality show, imo. I also couldn't stand the blowhard, but I watch no reality shows, so maybe it's just me.

I watched the "pilot" episode or preview they showed last summer. I love sports handicapping and would watch just about anything associated with it. However, I didn't like the show. The tout is tough to take for an hour and I think he is full of crap. Having said that, I'll probably watch some again this wednesday to see if it's any different.

I just finished watching this so called show.

It's a rip off, of the movie "Boiler Room."

I can't believe that CNBC would air something like that...

I did watch it last night and it was a tad more bearable than the preview I saw last year. If you watch it for entertainment value, you can get through it. Do I think it is an accurate reflection of tout services? I don't know as I have never used one (and probably never will). I would say it's probably not though. It's being hated on pretty bad, so my thought is it probably won't be around too long, but what do I know.

Watched it a few times, suckers born every minute.

The one thing I believed that Stevie said was when he had an armed guard with him. He said he could'nt get a gun permit because he's a convicted felon.

I've been watching the show. It is interesting. The commission is about 50%. The sales man makes 40%, Steve Stevens makes 10%. According to the show, top sales man make $20-25k per week.

Lol, yeah that's what I thought too. The show said they predict 70% of games.

    Bet 100 games.
    Loose 30
Win 70, pay 50% for commission
    Total 105.
Up 5 games and the business is up 35 games, while you are taking all the risk.

I think it is interesting since the business has nothing to loose except clients.

    Entertaining show.

They only take 50% commission on wins they get nothing when the client doesn't win. Would be a pretty good deal if they gave you a 70% winning percentage which is the unbelievable part.

It's a complete joke. There is no way they hit 70%. If the fraud on the show hit right at that rate, he wouldn't be touting his picks, he would just bet them and get rich. All the guys on that show are scammers. That's not even their real names, because the star of the show is a multiple convicted felon that was convicted of ....... get ready, scamming old people out of money. I know that comes as a total shock

Well I think 70% is attainable because me personally I win at a 83.9% so what credit card would you be using to make your deposit with sir?

I can see people paying money for sports picks over the phone, betting themselves, and keeping the winnings. I can also see how 50% commissions would be workable in such an industry.

The thing I find preposterous--some guy comes to LV to bet on 3 games, with the stipulation that he will hand over 50% of any winnings to someone else who is basically flipping a coin for him, but stomach 100% of the losses. Who would agree to such an arrangement??!?

The show is a joke and fraud from top to bottom. The star of the show has been covicted of scamming the elderly. In the show they talk about betting a game that was actually played a few days earlier than what they claim in the show. "Facts" are twisted to create drama.
