i guess its getting really bad out there and im using a new term when a casino goes bad called youve been adelsoned.

i was just at the rio not including high limite tables they were always dd 2/3 hit soft 17
    6 deck hit soft 17 3/2

well except for a small old pit thats gone.

now dd is 6/5 hit soft 17

and 6 deck is 8 deck now 6/5 now hit soft 17

    you been warned and adelsoned.

i see a trend starting and not for the good.:grrr:

so search for the old pit keep away from the new remolded pit.

This is not good, especially in vegas. I'm not a big BJ player. Imagine if they passed a rule only allowing 6/5 BJ in vegas, would people still play?

More money for the casino unfortunately.

now cet locals casino rio is 6/5 .

i might not be stevie wonder be i see a trend and dont like it. i bet mlife low end will pick up on it, they use csm machines , hit soft 17 , so time will tell.:grrr:

No surprise--they are dropping like flies--I believe Aria and Bellagio are the ONLY places on the strip with no 6:5 at all, and at this rate it is a matter of time. If V/P doesn't see a drop in play there will be 6:5 tables at Bellagio before long.

Frankly I would have expected Rio to have 6:5 already.

belive it or not rio was one of the best to play at for cet , im a local and besides the 2 on the strip cet places that people dont know about , the rio was all 6 deck shoe's , it was the best. i was just there and shocked.
they rate great give great comps.

theres still one small pit left with 6 deck low limit shoes that pay 2/3 and dd 2/3 , we shall see how long that lasts.

mlife will follow soon as it luxir high limit is only open at nite excalibur dosnt have one, the low end mlife places are pretty bad,

love aria rules and its not to crowed wich i love bellagio can get real crowed and aria gives me so much more for play than bellagio:grrr:

i honestly belive most people havent a clue and get so excited when they hit a bj on a 6/5 table

A few years ago Rio surveillance came down and lectured me about cheating on the Pai Gow table - for a dealers toke bet (the dealer was forced to take the green chip out of her box and return it to the rack).

The woman looked like the host from "The Weakest Link". That was the last time I gambled table games at The Rio (no action the remainder of my trip there). This was a $15 Pai Gow game. Dealer won 5-1 on some gimmick side bet. Well, until the Weakest Link came down and saved Loveman's quarter so he can purchase an enormous cake for 4PM tea.

Rio Las Vegas, under CET management, you ARE the Weakest Link. Good-bye.

CET properties have mainly minuses, especially if you play $10-$15 a hand.

    Most MGM properties are better.

Some of you may remember, shortly after the Harrahs/CET takeover of Rio.....the Bikini Pit (think that's what it was called)? A couple of 21 tables near the Sportsbook, with babes in string bikinis dealing and paying EVEN MONEY on the blackjack.:grrr:

Short lived as even the young fellas saw the scam of getting paid even for the 21, just to ogle at some plastic boobs.

I'm wondering what average percentage tips to the dealer make a difference to the casino edge and the player losses. I know it's wrong but I tip when I get a BJ, therefore the dealers get less tips. The extra BJ money is what's used unless I'm winning a fair amount then I will bet more for the dealer. Before you all shout at me that it's not the dealers fault that they are only paying 6:5 it makes me feel that I'm not playing a really really bad game and I will still play anyway. I usually lose so it really is a moot point anyway, lol.

Interesting point--what percentage of players do we really think don't know the difference? I would think over 50% at the red chip level but under 10% at black chip level.

I had a tough time finding BJ games with good rules at the $25 level last time. Not that long ago, I could find 2 deck games with a house advantage <.4% almost anywhere.

Ain't that the truth. That's why almost all of my play has switched to VP in recent years.
