    My Trip Report

Left home about 1pm for a 6:51 flight. Stopped at local pub for one of their huge lunches before little over 1 hr . ride to EWR.
Arrived at E-Z Park ,took shuttle to airport. Early ,but we had passes for the United Club ,but still a little early.
Flight was fine landed around 1am (jersey time) and went to Rent A car Center. Booked thru Total Rewards ,got a great deal from Thrifty on a Maxima $108, naturally they have any so took A Buick Regal instead.
Arrived at Gold Coast for one night, room was typical with a view of a wall. Chatted up a res agent next morning slipped a few bucks and was upgraded to a nicer room for our upcoming stay after Wynn and had resort fees waived.
Ate the GC buffet breakfast, gambled a little ,checked out and headed to Wynn via Bank of America on Spring Mtn. to hit ATM . This is good that they denied me because I forgot to notify them back home that I was going away. Went inside to see rep ,called number ,produced ID ,answered sec. questions and all was good.
    3/25-3/31 sorry

    Part Two,Wynn

Has to be the nicest hotel we ever stayed at .Everything perfectly maintained ,service great ,really first class . Paid for an upgrade to Tower Suite ,that included Breakfast and waived Resort Fees. Girl at check in didnt want to give us breakfast coupon, but I made her call manager and took care of it.
Room was beautifull overlooking golf course and like everything else ,looked like the first day the hotel opened. Mrs. JG was in heaven and hit 4 deuces so all was well. Ate at Red (Chinese) the first night and splurged at Sinatras the second. Breakfast was nice at Tableau,a little too cold to eat outside on the patio. Didnt leave the hotel at all except for a short walk to Venetian, why go anyplace else. Funny, they arent allowed to comp drinks at the poker bars, but will give just about anything on the floor. Plenty of Glenlivit Scotch consumed.
They tried to charge us for the two breakfasts ($50 each) but I went back to the front desk and got that straightened out.
Didnt see many golfers, heard it was $500 a round. So back to the GC.

    Weekend at The Gold Coast

A little nicer room ,did ok on VP but of course, gave it all back. Drove down to Ellis Island for steak special ,sorry to say it was dried out ,no good compared to previous visits. Had dinner at Cortez the next night, very good and reasonable.
Sat morning went down town to MSS gambling awfull, had a burger at 777 ,ok.
Drove back to GC and took the shuttle to the strip and walked down to the Linq. Nice enough, but didnt feel like Vegas, miss the OSheas Marquis on the strip. Went inside and played a little,no character at all ,maybe because its still under construction. Stopped at Flamingo on the way back ,place was packed.
Bussed it back to GC,was going to drive to Orleans but decided to stay at GC. Won a few bucks at VP bar,a few Stellas and hit the sheets.

Last day at Golden Nugget Laughlin

Got up Sunday morning ,grabbed a bagel and coffee, checked out and took a leisurely drive to Laughlin. Have to say the weather was gorgous in Laughlin,GN is nice enough for an older smaller hotel, rooms were renovated .Our cards from GN AC dont work there so we had to get new ones, the spin the wheel deal for $5-$2500 free play .We managed to lose at that,we spun and they handed us a travel mug,no free play. Gave them to two people who were thrilled. The only bad thing there was the low ceilings so like a lot of places, smokey. ate at the Claim Jumper, the regular coffee shop, the chicken pot pie was great. Spent a lot of time walking the river walk to enjoy the nice warm weather.Played a lot of VP at the Sand Bar ,came out a few bucks ahead. Guy next to us hit for 4g's ,he was playing $10 a hand ,good for him.I really like Laughlin ,would like to spend more time there next trip.Next morning ate and took another walk and sat outside to enjoy perfect day. Noon, checked out and drove back to LV.Stopped at Railroad Pass to grab lunch, blah!cross that one off our list also.
Turned in the Regal ,flew home ,watched Nebraska(me in a few years) ,flew home ,The End.

Mrs. Wilson and I were also in Laughlin on the 31st. We also enjoyed the weather and the river walk.

Golden Nugget seems like a great place for video poker players IMO. My guess would be that a third of their casino floor is devoted to video poker.

    Glad you enjoyed your trip.

Looks like you hit a wide spectrum of venues, Wynn to GN in Laughlin. Thanks for the write up.

Re: Nebraska, I think in a few years you'll still be sharp enough to not fall for a Publishers Clearing House mailer. If not, they're up on Long Island, so you will be back home for supper.

    Dont laugh Hammie

Mrs.JG had a career in Banking, more than one old timer showed up with those Ed McMahon million dollar checks looking to open an investment account. Also those fake lottery scams actually worked on a few people ,they would not believe her when she said they were bogus. My kids already told me that they're making plans how to torment me when I finally lose all my marbles.

Kinda shot in the dark here Jerseyguy, but were you and the mrs chatting with some bikers at the GC bar that afternoon? Talking about SD and CO rallies they were drinking beers and OJ...If that was you on my left a few seats down,I'm the guy that bowling pinned my empty beer into the full one all over the bar..bartender threw me a rag and I cleaned it up myself..probably early afternoon,I spent the morning at the Orleans..
I blew $200 there and then hit for $200 at that GC sportsbook bar, tried a couple machines moving left for a few machines and called it a day pretty early..
