Since the $1000 an hour debacle at the Smug Nugget Mrs. Flusher has been getting great mailers from them. She has, like, weekly offers. Typically 2-3 free nights and $100 or $200 free play or play till you lose chips. Also tournaments... The latest mailer arrived today in Flusherville Canada and it is for March 27th through 29th. That's tomorrow! And, you have to have the mailer with you to get the offer. Clearly, this makes good planning impossible for future offers. So my question is, for those of you that are receiving these mailers, how much lead time are you getting if you live in the US?
They seem to come anywhere from 3 months to 3 days ahead of time. I tease my host about how bad the marketing department is. Maybe they get the locals vs. out of town guest list confused on some mailers??
I have the same issue and I found out they will reprint the offer for you in the hosts office. You want to try to hit their frenzy weekends which you will see on the mailers for upcoming events as they double your freeplay offer.
i always get a great offers from them and its open to pass around ill scan and post it later, but basicaly they will double your offer from another property in free play up to 10, grand.
this offer is open to but rember the expect a certian level of play. read the fin print. they will doubble your free play up to 10,000 grrand
GN is the WORST in terms of timing of sending mailers. I received my May Boyd offer before I received my March GN offer (this is typical, not an exception)! This problem is not unique to you. Other than people driving in, I don't know why this delay is not a bigger complaint. If you want to get a decent airfare, you cannot afford to wait until you get their mailers. What makes this worse is unlike most other casinos that have offers to stay just about any day of the month, the GN is stuck with their 90's marketing technology and has several blacked out dates each month, which you don't find out until you get your mailer. I used to think these were dates of high demand. They are not! The black out dates are GN's 1990's way of keeping you from booking more than one offer back to back. For example, the first two days of the month are almost always blacked out. Why? So that you can't stay the last few days of the prior month and then get another free play with a room the first two days of the next month! Any other casino would just have this limitation stated on the offer and blocked by automation in their software, instead of blindly blocking the dates. My typical offer now has 6-8 days blacked out a month, which are all to keep me from using multiple parts of my monthly offer! (The higher level offers have multiple sub offers during the month, "Double Frenzy Days" for example, instead of being one month long offer.) Is there any other casino that has these 1990's era free play offer requirements for actually having to bring the physical mailed offer, have it stamped at the front desk, and then waiting on line at the slot club booth to have the free play manually applied to your account? No one! Everyone else has this automated to some extent. I have written to the GN on these issues (the late mailers, the needless black out dates, the ancient manual free play process), and encourage others to do so too.
We played extensively at GN 2 years ago. We received no offers. Now, 2 years later we are getting bombarded with offers for GN. This has all picked up in the past 3-4 weeks. It sure appears as though they accessed CET's database as the offers are identical to our CET offers.
I read the fine print and didn't see anything about expected play. (On the mailer posted with pictures). Anyone have details on this? I have a $2965 Cosmo free play offer I would love to have doubled.
call the host i listed and ask its an i offer can offer to any one thats why i posted it. im assuming 4 hours a day, just not sure what minum bet is but you have the info post an update its a grate offer,i get thyem all the time
Just heard back from Julie at the Golden Nugget and they do not match Cosmo offers. It was worth a try.
This is a trick. First, you only get a portion of the freeplay up front. they you have to play a certain number of hours and get more, then you have to play another number of hours to get the rest. Its a trick. Don't fall for it.
I have done this promotion at the GN and your description is not accurate as to how it is done there. I was given the entire free play amount for the matching promotion on my card right at the start. Can you reference any trip report from any site where anyone else say the GN promotion works as you describe to support your statement? As to the some of the other topics from other posts, no, there are no minimum play requirements for this promotion.
Yes it is a good offer. But the post of mine you responded to was about the monthly/quarterly offers to existing players as in the original topic post, not about ongoing promotions to bring in new players. And if you read my post again you will see that I don't say the offers aren't good, just late and very manual.
Seems like only other downtown offers. Also, for chips you only get half up front and half after playing a "qualifying period of play"
I talked to a few people about this last trip - they know very well that their marketing is messed up. They are 'trying' to fix it. I would say that additional communication from customers is not going to make a difference - the people that work there are more frustrated than we are. Everyone knows its a problem.
Nice, double your promo. Couldn't you just show them your promo, get it doubled then go get the promo from the original casino. I wouldn't think GN can void your free play at other casinos. For example, hooters offers you $100 free play. Go to GN and get it doubled. Go to hooters to get the $100. Total = $300 in free play.
yes u can double book thats what your talking about people do it all the time. i never did the gn promo but i figured they want 4 hours a day a certian avarage bet for the fist 5000$ , then the next day then give u the other 5000$. thats just come casino normal play for a comp but hey a free 10,ooo grand.its only for new or inactive player but hell great deal. ps i get the offer sent too a few times a year. its still a great deal.
