Just read DianaEvoni's TR and saw some pics of her dinner at Buddy V's inside Venetian/Palazzo. I didn't even know he had a restaurant! Being half Italian I am very picky when it comes to Italian food but oh how I love the Cake Boss! So, tell me how is it? I'd love to hear some other reviews if
    been there.

Also, we don't like making reservations because time flies by and we usually change plans at the last minute. Do you think we could just walk in for lunch?

It is impossible to know, it depends how many people are there when you decide to go.

Glad you liked the photos of Buddy V's. I've eaten there for both lunch and dinner and in my opinion you can likely walk in for lunch as long as there's not a major convention going on.

I just read there's a bakery that just opened up across from Buddy V's so hopefully more traffic will find its way to both. As an FYI Buddy V's is located where First Food and Bar used to be.

We are there opening week in October and thought it was very good. The prices are really reasonable and the service was some of the best we had in Vegas.

We are going again in 2 weeks and it's going to be the first restaurant we've gone to twice there.

Went to Buddy V's earlier this week. Had a Palazzo promotion "Dinner for Two." Surprised that we could only order from the Grazie Menu, as I wanted to try other items. Very underwhelmed by the food. I ordered the chicken parm and it did not look at all like pics I've seen (chicken breasts should NOT look like fried triangles). Also, front of the house staff needs serious training. No bread offered until I asked for it, no grated cheese or extra sauce offerings (pasta was dry and chicken has little sauce topped). Atmosphere was noisy and confusing, not what I expected at all. They'll do ok due to name recognition and being across from the bake shop, but I won't go again. Too many great Italian options close by.

Had dinner there last night. Blech. An almost total bust. The only plusses were good service and a good bartender. The food was either ordinary or just plain bad. My spaghetti and meatballs was cafeteria quality. Nothing great, and the wife makes better, as do I. The veal parmesan was outright bad - scorched under the cheese and pounded way too thin. Inedible. The rum cake dessert was also ordinary, and the cannelloni were stale. In short you can eat much better Italian for a quarter the price down the street at Maggiano's. Heck, I'd recommend Battista's before I'd recommend Buddy V's.

I heard a good comments about the rest. from a couple, Italians. But you have other posts with bad experiences. I liked the bakery, small cannollis over priced at $2.50 large ok at 3.50. My son has:wave: an order for me to buy some for taking home next trip. I live in an area where it is hard to get real canolli's.But growing up in NYC, I have had my share of great one's. Can't beat Veneiro's on east 11st. I remember when it wasn't a tourist spot.
