My 3 team ML Parlay won the first two games. If Kentucky wins I net $403. Do I hedge and plop down $200 on Louisville? I feel so dirty betting against myself.
It's called gambling, so personally, I wouldn't. But if you'd be happy winning $200, then do it. Bird in the hand etc...
it's easy for us to gamble your money lol But if winning $200 means a lot to you, then hedge. But if it were me for the original $100 investment, I would let it ride and enjoy the sweat toight.
Let it ride. If you lose, rationalize that you got $200 worth of entertainment out of tonight's game. You should feel that you already have gotten the $100 intial bet's worth of entertainment.
Let it ride unless something has changed that makes you hate the Kentucky side now. Personally, I have Louisville winning it all and KY out in the first round so I'd have never been on that side. I think the off days will kill any of their momentum. But what do I know . Have fun and good luck!
you could do a partial hege. Bet $100 on Lousiville with a friend straight up, no juice. That way your inital $100 bet is covered.
I'm leaning to the $200 hedge and/or another ML parlay with Louisville winning. Maybe $50 on Mich + Iowa St + Louisville + Florida with AZ (sorry Joe). Who are your ML locks in today's games?
I don't want to be a downer, but I would remove that picture for now. Somebody could take the serial number off the ticket, claim that they lost it, and get a new ticket issued to them. To answer your original question: I have been in this position many times. If $200 is a lot of money to you, then I would hedge, lock in the profit and enjoy the game knowing you won $200. If $200 doesn't mean that much, then let it ride and enjoy the rush of sweating out a parlay.
agree with this. Worst case you break even. Your parlay wins and you didn't eat into your profit too bad.
Thanks for the heads up. One more level of excitement I didn't consider. I wonder how far they would go to validate a lost ticket like checking the video at the time of issue. And what did you do in this position? At what point do you let it ride? Just out of curiosity.
I agree with bossplayer21, just hedge it for $100,- just to be safe and enjoy watching Kentucky beating Louisville!
I'm Lettin' it Ride. Thanks, Everyone, for the input. C'mon Kentucky. I have another ML Parlay. $20 wins $606 MICH won UCONN won MICH ST KY FLA AZ I talked to a Fremont Sports Book guy and he said I can cash a Sam's Town ticket there. He said they wouldn't cancel or reissue a ticket that easily and thanks vegas_or_bust for the reality check.
Nice hit on the original parlay! And to answer your question about how far they would go to reissue a ticket: my brother lost a $500 bet slip at the Rio during the NBA Finals a few years ago. He immediately went to the sportsbook and reported it. Since it was a bet on the 2nd half, and fairly large, they were able to look at the tapes and reissue him the ticket. They canceled the original ticket, which was a good thing, as somebody else had found the ticket laying on the ground and tried to cash it after the game (the ticket was a winner).
