    Hi There,

Looking for recommendations for places to get a solid steak dinner. I realize this is a pretty open ended question, so I'll try to put in a few parameters:

    - On strip or Fremont St
    - Looking roughly at a $60 general price range
    - A restaurant that a group of 6-8 30-ish year old guys would not feel out of place

    Thanks for any tips!

$60 per person for the whole meal or for the actual steak?

Check out the menu for Andiamo at The D. ( Downtown on Fremont ).

Also might consider Triple George. Across from Downtown Grand.

Tough to get a good steak dinner for under $60 unless, as asked above, you are looking at the $60 as just the steak. It can be done though, Andiamo is priced in the $35-45 range. Add a side and one drink and you'd be around $60.

On the strip you can go to Mon Ami Gabi, but the steak is steak frites. I like it there but it's not a "steakhouse".

I ate at Andiamo, Vic & Anthony's, and Hugo's last year, and would rank them in the order listed.

On the strip, my favourite would be Cut, followed by Ramsay Steak, and then SW, however, you're not likely to get out of these for $60pp

I would say you'll definitely get more bang for your buck downtown, and one I forgot that a friend always recommends is the Triple George.

If you are willing to spend $60 for just the steak you can pretty much go to any steakhouse on the strip and keep it under that price.
Personally I'm a big fan of Smith and Wollensky's (on the strip between Walgreens and MGM). I believe all their steaks are dry aged in house except for the fillet's which are wet aged.
Wherever you decide to go, definitely call ahead and make a reservation.

The Steakhouse at Circus Circus - full meal for $60. Porterhouse 1 1/2 pounds.

Don't be skeptical - I know Circus Circus is a dive...but not their steakhouse.

Brother and I went using the MyVegas $150 credit - went during happy hour...had a REALLY hard time using it all!

For $60 a steak you can go to Carnevino and get a dry aged steak. The vibe is great, classic steakhouse. They age their steaks more than most places. I am not talking about the reserva, I mean their regular dry aged.

Another great classic place is Delmonico's. I thought it was great. I had sry aged steak there and it was delicious and flavorful.

N9NE is excellent at just underwent a remodel/update. Maybe the best combination of food, service and vibe you can find.

My favorite restaurant is Jean Georges @ Aria. Very close 2nd is Craftsteak.

In order where I rank steak restaurants I've eaten:

    Jean Georges
    Crafsteak
    Prime
    SW Steakhouse

SW is my favorite steakhouse, I have also had great meals at The Capital Grille. I know The Capital Grille is a chain but we don't have them here in Canada, that might be a better choice for a group of guys.

If you want a good steak for $60> and you're going with the guys, I'd try Delmonicos, Craftsteak or Jean George's. Your crew will have a great time at any of those places plus they offer steaks in your budget.

The blue cheese crusted NY Strip at Hugo's Cellar is orgasmic.
