Stay at the Luxor alot. Ask for tower rooms there nice. Backstage deli open 24 hours good food also breakfast is served there. Playing alot of Video poker by the poker room the drink servers are great. Bonnie, Manny, Laurie, debbie, Michelle work 5pm till 1pm will keep your glasses full and are always friendly to me and my wife. Also treat everyone very well they go the extra mile. If you need a casino host talk to Sally. Yes there are nicer hotels but this one is still good.

Thx, I need to book Thursday for a night then I have a 3night comp at LVH in a 68/69 room. A lot have had issues with the LVH but I always book either a lanai or a 68/69 and never had issues.

I'd consider it overall an average place. Pyramid rooms are below average. Tower rooms are decent. Location is decent with easy access to MB and Excal. Pool is average at best. Not much in the way of dining. T&T has good food and quick service. It can be a good value if you find a good price.

I'd agree, although it may be considered "lower end", we had a blast when we stayed there a few years ago. Backstage deli hits the spot at all hours of the night!

This pretty much nails it for me ........... Not my first choice but I'd stay again.

I much prefer to visit Luxor than stay there.

Luxor attracts and interesting and varied crowd. The bar in the center of the pyramid (I call it the lamp bar) is great for people watching.

The sportsbook - not great atmosphere but serves as a good retreat when you tire of the crowds.

The Luxor will hit you up for every fee that they can .......... early check in, resort fee are pretty much non negotiable.

Overall service is hit or miss as well.

    Here are my thoughts.

    The Good:
    T&T is awesome Mexican food
    The Bad:
There's absolutely nowhere else at Luxor worth eating, IMO

    The Good:
    Its inexpensive
    The Bad:
You get what you pay for. The tower rooms are nicer than the pyramid, but the whole place is still a little dumpy

    The Good:
It's right next to Mandalay Bay
    The Bad:
It's right next to Excalibur. But it is close to the Excal Krispy Kreme ...... I may have to re-think this one

    The Good:
The pool is serviceable. At the same Tier level, its better than NYNY, but worse than Monte Carlo
    The Bad:
The spa sucks. Don't go. Walk next door to Mandalay Bay

Overall, I would stay there in a pinch (and stayed there a couple times back in the day). I actually really enjoy the theming and wish they had not de-themed it so much. But I rank it only ahead of Excalibur as far as MGM properties go. If you can afford a different MGM property, I would stay there. Unless you're a big fan of having pizza coupons slid under your door at night. If that's your thing, stay at Luxor

Luxor isn't that bad. Location is rough if you wanna see more of the strip, but the property itself isn't that bad.

+1 for Tower rooms, definitely a huge difference compared to the pyramid.

It has been a few years since we stayed at Luxor, but we still visit that area from time to time. My thoughts would be:

Front Desk: if you are there on an offer you can use the VIP or MLife check in line, otherwise the front desk area moves very slow, slowest I've seen anywhere in Las Vegas.

Pool: they have a nice pool area, lots of pools to use. At some spots it can be extra hot when the sun is up above and angling off the pyramid at the same time.

Dining: between Luxor, Excalibur and Mandalay Bay/Place there are lots of dining options in the area

Pyramid Rooms: these rooms kind of cool cuz you are staying in a pyramid and go up to them via their "inclinator" (like an elevator, but it goes up on an incline). But the rooms are always very dark.

Tower Rooms: much nicer rooms, bright hallways, brighter rooms. I'd stay in the tower if given a choice.

Casino: I don't like the casino. Table games are fine but the slot selection is pretty dated, lots of repeats of the same games. If I were staying there I'd probably be doing most of my gambling at Excalibur, Mandalay Bay or Tropicana.

Room Supplies: there is an AM/PM across the street for basic beer, water, snacks for the rooms and "cooler" style drinks. Down a block (towards the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, its across the street from Mandalay Bay) there is a bigger convenience store and liquor store.
