Maybe. We went last year around this time. 5pm on a Saturday there was one other table occupied. Food was OK, but I felt it was overpriced. $90 for two filet mignon. View was nice. Ambiance was old school Vegas ( assuming that I know old school Vegas) .

If you want to be able to look back when and say I ate at the Top of Binions, then do it. I'm glad I did.

We ate there a couple of years ago so maybe too long ago to be useful. I really liked it, but would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't got hammered first on the free drinks in the casino that came with alarming regularity.

^^I second this exactly. We had a party of 10 (all from Texas), who all loved and had experience with "very nice" steak houses. We all left there with a feeling of "average" at best food and service.

I've not tried it, but they have deep-fried lobster tails. How bad can they be?

I ate there a couple of years ago and enjoyed it. Old school service and decor (although I think I heard they've done it over) and a great view.

    I thought it was worthwhile.

I went last April with three friends, who were experiencing their 2nd trip overall, and first trip downtown. I used the 25% off coupon from the LVA book on the check for the entire party.

We had a 7 or 8 pm reservation on a Wednesday, and the place seemed three quarters full when arriving, but almost empty when we left. The female's in our group were able to pull a pouty face routine and got us a table next to a window, so that was cool. And the waiter was an old school, 25+ year vet of the place.

I think other's covered it; great old school feel, but food was good, but not great. Though the shrimp app's were amazing (and huge!). If you understand that part of the price is the view and feel of the place, then I would splurge and treat yourself. If you could care less about those two items, then I would consider the food slightly overpriced for the quality.

I second this. And there is no way the Flame is better than Binions. I hardly call the Flame a steakhouse now since they no long have ribeye. The place is a far cry of once it was, as is most of the Elco

Use the LVA coupon for 25% off

I took my wife (G) here last year and it was well worth it. We secured a table by the windows on a Sunday evening. The steak and side were good and we split a salad beforehand. Their drinks were average price and quality. The waiters are all veterans and they seem genuine and not tip-smoozy. I already have an Open Table reservation for our spring break trip in two weeks and I will use the LVA coupon again which will keep the overall bill under $100 for two with plenty of food and two drinks each.

Great room and view, not very good food.

Our faves downtown for meat are Andiamo's, Triple George Grill and Vic & Anthony's

Nice view; otherwise very disappointing. Mediocre steaks (I'm guessing USDA Select grade, cooked by a talentless chef in the kitchen). Canned green beans.

I have eaten there twice and we enjoyed it both times. is it the best in Vegas? No, but it is a very good steakhouse and the prices are reasonable.

Maybe we caught them on a bad night but the food was not good, frozen veggies and a tough steak. Triple George is same price and way better IMO.
