This is a newbie question. .. Can a couple both contribute as one towards comps? We are sharing the same room. We are both gambling, my husband prefers roulette and I like the slots. Can we pool or being together? If so, how?
Yes. You can ask them to combine your cards into one account (most common for married couples), or just give them both card numbers when asking about available comps (a bit more complicated unless you have an assigned host). You will get better offers if you officially combine your accounts. Just stop by the players club desk and ask them to do it.
But, they tend to measure EACH persons ADT for offers. If you were to use his card when playing slots, the total play would get added as if it was one person, and your husband would appear to be a bigger player, and therefore bigger offers. Depending on your level of play, it might not matter anyways. Which casinos are you talking about?
CET will not combine account so my husband and I both play on one card and have reached Diamond Aspirations Level 2 because of it. You're not supposed to do it but a lot do and CET knows they do.
Yes, sometimes that can be difficult though because if you're playing at more than one property it doesn't always update right away. I missed out on a 2,500 tier day by 13 credits because of this once. Now I always get to the total rewards desk before they close to find out for sure.
OP didn't say which property. At Boyd, my wife and I only play on my card. Yes, she gets no offers but it helps points to maintain Emerald. We never use the mailers anyway, I just give our host the dates. Correction, we do collect the FP on the mailer.
I keep a note on my phone where I add up the points every time I get ready to leave a machine and move on. It gets a little tricky the more I've had to drink, but I would hate for that to happen!
Especially since we're often playing into the wee hours and the TR desk is closed. It would totally suck to wake up the next day and find we missed a bonus level by a few points. Hubs and I play together on one card and we hop around properties and machines a bit so when we're ready to move, before we each take the card out of the machine, I just note down the tier points on each counter so we don't lose track.
AllNetMom and I play one account at CET (which was actually recommended by the TR associate who signed us up). At MLife we have linked accounts. We get better offers from CET, but it all seems to work out the same on the back end.
