I just got this email from Flamingo VIP for my trip on Friday "As a valued Diamond/Seven Star guest, if you choose to take a taxi from the airport, please keep the receipt. Once you check in, present the receipt along with you valid photo ID and Total Rewards card to the Casino Host of duty for reimbursement of up to $25 in Casino Free Play. Taxis will still provide door-to-door service from the airport. This offer is valid through April of 2014."

Nothing earth shattering, but a nice gesture all the same.

Title should read: "Seven Stars" not Silver Stars, cannot edit it!

Anyway, I was at Flamingo couple weeks ago and never heard about that.

Wonder if its just for Flamingo? Interesting.

Still better than nothing and if your taxi fare was more than $25 you must have been long hauled.

It is a nice gesture in any case. Possibly just a little effort on the part of Flamingo to differentiate itself since all the other lower end CET places are getting renovations or improvements of some kind. It won't cost them much since many of these guests will get a limo anyway, and most are staying across the street.

Yeah, and with the construction inconvenience of the Linq project as well.

If you will be putting $25 or more into the machines, it is EXACTLY the same as cash. Exactly.

Seems to me I heard somewhere on the board that they were doing this because the airport shuttle dropoff was really inconvenient because of the construction. Not sure if this is still the case.

Well that explains it--and the language about "door to door dropoff"

Taxi fare shouldn't be more than $17-$18 tops.
I think it is a really nice thing--but of course 7 Star members get free limo pick up---so it would really only help Diamond.
Wonder if any of the other CET propertys are also offering this?

I don't think so. I think it's just like another poster mentioned that they're doing it because the drop off for Flamingo is a ways away because of the construction. They probably had people complaining that they had to schlep their bags down the street.

I stayed in september and got the same email.

You have to bring in the receipt with you for the taxi.

My bill was only $15ish and they gave me a full $25 voucher for slots or tables.

I inquired when I was in the diamond Check in Line

I don't know why it would mention Seven Stars because they get a limo from the airport.

I have done this 3 times, they offer it because the shuttle drop off is so far away due to construction. Make sure you get a taxi reciept, if you forget you can just get a blank one from any random taxi.

If your fare is more than $25, you got long-hauled for sure. My last 8 trips have never had a fare more than $20 and that was terrible traffic.

Ask about this offer in the diamond checkin line, they will ask a host to take care of this for you, sometimes a host is right there, sometimes not. If you checkin late and use the regular lines, just stop by the diamond check in area the next day and ask for a host to take your taxi reciept. The host does a little paperwork then gives you a voucher for $25 fsp. You take the voucher to the main cage, along with id and your diamond card, the cashier gives you $25 in reel rewards OR table vouchers.

I've put down totals for anywhere from $19 to $25, including tip, and they have always issued the full $25.

Yeah - the taxi ride should be around $20 or so. Most taxi drivers will just give you a couple of blank cards to fill out which work as the receipt. Just fill them out as much or as little as you like. The host on duty is at the desk of the back of the Diamond check in area. I just gave the receipt to the girl who checked me in and she took it back to them for me. And as JB stated, they always just give the full $25 in Free play.

Don't forget to grab a couple of bottles of ice cold water, and a handful of fresh cookies - they make a nice snack!

** By the way - while I was there I had a rental car as well and many of the properties Valet's filled up on the weekends when it was busy, the flamingo especially. Carry your diamond card in your pocket and when you pull into valet just show them the card and they will accommodate you. I got to know all of the Valet people pretty well and they said no problem if you are Diamond or 7-Star they will take care of you even when full.
