I had plans to try Joel Robuchon this trip but I waited too long and can't get in. I am solo, male in my 50's and would like to try at least one nice restaurant this trip where I would be comfortable dining alone. Probably a bar or chef's table would be best??

Been to the late Alex, Aureole, Serranos and the late DB. Staying at Wynn and have a car. Not new to Vegas but new to solo dining. Your suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Guy Savoy or Lataliere would be my next pick after Robuchon. personally.

Not quite sure what the difference is by dining alone....but if a bar is to your liking you could try Emeril's at MGM Grand......or pick up a bibbo or treat one of the homeless guys begging for food money to dinner.

L'Atelier is a great choice. You also might see if you can get into e by Jose Andres -- the "secret" restaurant behind the bar at Jaleo in the Cosmo. I got in there as a solo at the last minute. It was a heck of an experience.

alfromcal101, which Joel Robuchon? "L'atelier De Joel Robuchon" or "Joel Robuchon"?

I had dinner solo at L'atelier and it was amazing. I sat at the bar. I would think you could get a seat there if you're flexible.

    Thank you

Thank you for your suggestions. To clarify I could not get the reservation at L'atelier De Joel Robuchon.

Do you happen to have an AMEX Platinum? They have a relationship with the restaurant and may be able to help if you call the concierge.

Le Cirque, Sage, and American Fish all have tasting menus and do a great job with solo diners at the bar.
