This game has two side sucker bets, Flush, and Straight Flush. Anyone know the minimum allowed for the sucker bets.

Example, $5 minimum table. Can you do $1 side sucker bets, like in Pai Gow, or does it have to be the $5, like in CET 3 card Poker 6 card sucker side bet?

In November I played at Four Queens downtown at a $5 table and you could bet $1 on the sucker bets. Luckily I bet $5: I caught four straight flushes that week and one of them was a six card straight flush, HUGE payoff.

I love this game! Played in January at PH. First day i played, i had major beginners luck. I was not playing any bonus bets at all and ended up cashing out $4500 after a couple hours. The third day I played, I was betting the bonus bets and got this...

Thx. I went on a huge spree at Best Buy when I got home. Didn't gamble at all my last day and a half of a week long trip to preserve my winnings.

    That is totally insane! :drooling:

Your red chip sucker bets are $10K + another $3K. OK, OK, your the King! :nworthy: :nworthy: :nworthy:

And the funny part is, with your stack of greens on the regular bets = a just in the hundreds.... for the one to one payoff! :evillaugh

Bet the Suites just loved you (yea, they were saying F**K), and the dealer probably said, ah sh*t when you discarded ... one card!!!!

BEST SUCKER BET WIN PICTURE YET ON THE VMB!

So instead of Best Buy, you went to the auto dealer when you got home....

    I would love a nominal Amazon.com WIN...

Actually, the other sucker bet was only good for $1k. They kept $2500 of the $10k payout for "taxes"...bastards...lol. Ask me what happened with the other $7500. Let's just say that was the start of my 2 week trip. It was a total riot though...love it!

Yea, when I first saw it, I thought (and posted) you had the 7 card SF for 80K and 3K. I quickly had to do an edit before someone quoted my mistake. Forgot to adjust the Flush bonus to 6 cards.

Now for what you did with the $8500. You are the Man, and hid $6K away, and went crazy with the other 2K. Right? Right? Right?.......

Something tells me there is going to be a WRONG in here somewhere... :evillaugh

We play 3CP with a $100 buy in, hope to hit something to keep us in the game. So the $5 sucker bet on the pair plus.

Is this low ball $100 buy in play possible in High Card Flush?

    $100 BUY IN

$1 on each of the suckers bets.

    Rest is regular play....

Do able on a $100 buy in? Or is 3CP better?

I have only played HCF during the two weeks I was in vegas, so I don't have a good grasp on a good buy-in amount. However,I do feel your buy-in will go further in this game compared to 3CP...especially if you only bet $1 on the sucker bets. The first time I played, I bought in for $500. Started out at $5 bet and after winning several hands in a row, jumped to table max ($200). Every time after that, I bought in for $1000 and was betting mostly $75 with $10 on the sucker bets and up to table max ($200, $25 sucker bets). The last few days, playing mostly $75 with $10 sucker bets, i had to buy-in three times...essentially $3000 sessions at $75 ante + $20 combined sucker bets). I was losing with 5-card flushes during the last few days, so you can consider those sessions the worst case scenerio on buyin vs bet size requirements. If you stuck to $1 sucker bets and played mostly $5 ante, I would say $250-$300 would let you play a good amount. $500 should enable you to be able to play through a big downswing.

If you keep the "sucker bets" down to $1, I'd pick High Card Flush. The swings of the two base games are very similar. Near optimal strategy is pretty easy too. Call 3 card flushes T86 or higher for the maximum you are allowed. Fold all worse.

LOVE this game! Played it for the first time @ Harrah's two weeks ago. Late night...feeling tired....sat next to a lady who hit on consecutive 5 card straight flushes. She left and a few hands later...7 card flush for me! $1500 up top on my $5 bet. Went back to play the next AM, the table was closed. Off to the Flamingo and their table....3 hours later and up $100. No big wins, but enough 4 and 5 card flushes to keep you going. Can't wait to play it again!

As for strategy, I started playing $5 flush; $5 straight flush and $10 ante....kept me afloat for quite a while. Good luck!

IMHO the only fun way to play this game is to bet on the flush and especially the straight flush sucker bets, at a reasonably responsible level. The straight flushes are very rewarding when they hit. The craziest thing I saw was when a dealer had all of her cards of the same suit. I can't remember what the payoff would have been had that happened on a player's hand, but it would have been huge.

My 7 card flush (without a single 3-card straight flush) paid 300-1 on the "flush" bet.

Nice one. When the dealer that turned up her seven card flush she said that was the first one she ever saw. Tough break about no straight flush on your seven card flush.

Love this game. Played it in Laughlin long ago before it was in Vegas. I was so glad to see it showing up in Vegas and have played at M and Flamingo. Biggest hits were two $1500 hands at Harrahs Laughlin.
