Paris or Flamingo?

Usually stay at Flamingo. Rates for our upcoming May trip are high. In fact can get Paris, regular room for a little less money than a Go room. About $35.00 less. I don't think I have ever stepped foot in Paris so would like some opinions please. Will be celebrating my 50th with my Mom. We like pools, but do find the Flamingo pool very busy and very young . A less busy pool may be nice. We usually spend a lot of time gambling at Bill's but of course that isn't an option this time. Location about the same I would think?
Need to book Go room cause as I have mentioned earlier, we do need a walk in shower as my Mom broke her hip a couple months ago. She was dancing up a storm NYE and fell............high energy grandma! Not so much energy at the moment though so our walking will be cut short this trip.
Looking forward to hearing some advice!

 

I alway loves Paris, smaller casino. elevators close to the action, Pool is ok ,crowd is usually older, Gustavs has great bartenders, attached to Bally's via walkway mall

 

Paris, for sure--especially if it's cheaper!

I've never understood the attraction of Flamingo. Leaving that personal bias aside, Paris is a great choice for someone who's a bit movement-impaired. You can take the elevator right to pool level. The pool itself is nothing magnificent, but it's neat to swim under the "Eiffel Tower." I like the vibe at both casinos--Paris is a bit more elegant, Bally's is non-pretentious and a bit brighter.

Between Bally's and Paris you have a wide variety of dining options, ranging from cheapo to deluxe. You really wouldn't need to leave the Bally's/Paris complex if you didn't want to, unless you need really low-limit gaming options. PH and Cosmo are not too far away, however.

Sounds like Paris would be the better choice.

I think the room quality is about the same with the 2 specific rooms you are talking about. The go room might be slightly better, but I know I'm happy with the Paris base room.

 

That is an easy choice - Paris! Much nicer rooms, casino is easy to navigate, better dining choices and easily connected to Ballys. The Flamingo rooms are average, and their casino has to be the most confusing on the strip. The only redeeming thing in Flamingo is the Margaritaville casino - great dealers and drink service.

 

Paris in the Spring is always the go-to way to bet.

Paris is great. They have walk in showers in all the rooms, and it's a relatively small property if you need to cut down on walking. The rooms in Paris are a little worn, but if you are happy with Flamingo you should definitely be happy at Paris! It's definitely a step up. Also it's connected to Bally's which has more gambling options. Also I love the location, super easy to get to PH and across to Cosmo.

Also they have some of my favorite dining establishments! Mon Ami, GR Steak, and Eiffel Tower Restaurant.. and of course crepes!!

No question i'd pick Paris over Flamingo in a second.

 

Well I usually stay at the flamingo or paris, like them both so I wouldnt be to worried about staying there. I think the flamingo probably has a few more properties closer to it than paris but paris does connect to ballys, and Planet Hollywood is right next to it. Didnt say when in May u were going but the cromwell, formally bill's, is suppose to open May 21st...

 

I guess I would be a bit biased as we always stay at Paris, but as mentioned earlier by another member their bathrooms do have walk in showers that you indicated a need for.

In addition I believe that you will find the pool to your liking as it is a very relaxing atmosphere with plenty of lounges.

I would book the standard room and use the $20 sandwich when checking in and ask for a complimentary upgrade to a higher floor room overlooking the pool and Bellagio fountains. One word of caution though if you are staying over the weekend, the music from Chateau Nightclub is quite loud into the early morning hours. If that be the case you may want to request a mountain view room...unless high energy granny doesn't mind!

A number of the rooms have been remodeled recently and the service staff from check in to bartenders to maids are all quite friendly.

Have never stayed at Flamingo but love Paris. It is is cheaper by all means book Paris.

 

Flamingo GO rooms are nicer than their FAB rooms, and usually not much more $
