    1. CHEAP Take $3 and eat a meal with a dessert.

    2. CONVENIENT Walk 2 minutes to your nearest one wherever you are on the strip.

    3. FAMILIARITY. Know with confidence that you won't be disappointed. You know exactly what to expect.

    4. TASTY. You can't deny that that mystery meat makes you smile.

    5. WORLD-CLASS. Globally recognized. Billions served. You are lucky to be within the golden arches.

    6. QUICK SNACK. Munchies much? Use a buck and get pies, cones, parfaits.

    7. COME AS YOU ARE. Throw on your pajamas and come on down!

    8. PLAY MORE. Get more booze, gamble more, upgrade your hotel by slashing food expenses by 80%.

There is nothing better than munching on an order of hot and crispy Mickey d fries while plugging way at your favorite slot really late at night. I've done that at the Monte Carlo several times!

I can't eat McDonalds while drinking, I'd be on the toilet for half my trip. Otherwise I do love me some McChickens.

No can do. Hey, I like quarter pounders with cheese, and I'm thankful that I've been able to fill the hole when rushed and driving from place to place, but in Vegas, I'm on holiday. I'm trying to escape my life, including fast food.

Hey I'm with ya. Cheap eats are a blessing in Vegas for certain situations (early morning heading back to room, redeye specials and the like), but when I'm on my vacation in what I consider the best place I've been to eat.. given the amount of fantastic restaurants... I can't eat much fast food. There's a time and place for everything, just depends what you're in town for!

If my hotel has it, I like to go for a quick breakfast.

The MGM one seemed remarkably similar in price too...

In Vegas, I'm only interested in Mickey D's at breakfast, but I can't argue with the points the OP raises, although if you're on vacation in Vegas, if saving money on meals via McDonald's makes a difference in the quality of your vacation, you probably should save up for another year.

There is absolutely a place in LV for chains. I am not going to eat at one every meal, but eating at a chain balances out the cost of going to an expensive restaurant the next day.

I gotta agree with this. It's become such a part of my Vegas routine that just a whiff of mcd's fries and I'm thinking of Vegas. While I've been known to drop $400 on a meal, I can still appreciate mcd's. I usually get a couple mcdoubles and I'm good to go. Only problem is the price varies on the mcdoubles from the mcd's in the casinos. Back when everyone was selling them for $1, most casino mcd's had them for $2...except the one in MGM for some reason.

When i was pregnant with my son 16 years ago my illness did not like the pregnancy so i got sick more than my normal 1-2 times a day. When it got up to 5 times my doctor had to put me on a junk food diet because that was the only food i could keep down. My healthy eating went right out the window at that point. We decided it was better to eat the crap and not get sick then to have to be on an iv drip in the hospital like i was that day.

I do not care for mcd's but to this day whenever i am really upset it is the only thing i can eat. Plain chicken burgers or plain mcdoubles. They do have the best fries though.

With my stomach issues i can not eat much at most normal restaurants anyways so unfortunately i am not going to vegas for good eats :(

Seems the last time I was on the strip McDonalds, all the prices were escalated... not as bad as the airport bump up but they were up a bit more than at home. I noticed the same at the Subways on the strip.

That's one of the perks of car rental. You can still find good coffee shop deals at locals casinos that rival the costs of fast food places. I need to quit McDs altogether so when I have more time to work with on vacation, I avoid it like the plague.

Yep, lots of options traveling -- Vegas, in this case -- and "expensive" need not be the only alternative to chain or cookie-cutter. If folks like McDs, then damn sure have at it. But it's not a zero-sum game, this food thing.

There is no way that I will ever go to Las Vegas and eat at McDonald's.
I do that enough at home. McDonald's is just not something I want in Vegas.
But, to each his own. If that's what you like, go for it. I will not judge.
