Wine - MollyDooker "The Boxer" Shiraz , Availability in Vegas?

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone know where you can get the above mentioned wine in Las Vegas?

It's my wife's favorite and I'd love to find a source in Vegas so I don't have to bring it down from Canada!

we have had it at delmonico, stack at mirage, and the range, now a ruth chris at harrahs, so clearly it is available from distributors in las vegas. going to guess you will be able to find it, i am thinking the big liquor stores are called lees?

if not, there surely will be some other mclaren vale or barossa shiraz available. have you ever tried any from jim barry?

 

It is on the list at Gordon Ramsay steak, I think even by the glass.

You guys remember one wine across x-number of retail experiences, with kagillions of wines available at each? I'm impressed.

I'm a wine nut but this is way beyond my ken. Must be a memorable grape.

 

Thanks for the replies, but I'm looking to buy it retails, not in a restaurant. Perhaps I'll try ABC or VONS?

 

No clue if they will do it, but it sounds like it is available at least from some distributors. I've asked liquor stores near me for special requests and as long as a distributor they use has, it is no issue. Maybe try and call up Lee's Liquor and see if they will do something like this?

 

Very low likelihood ABC would have something like this. Vons has some good wines, but again there it would be hit or miss. Numeno's suggestion sounds like your best bet.

 

Total Wine, maybe? Though that's way out in Summerlin. (Is there one in say Henderson yet?) But still a crap shoot I'd imagine. Costco?

We check wine quite often. Have you thought about that if it is that important?

I don't have the answer you're looking for but just wanted to state that I drank "The Boxer" tonight along with the "Blue Eyed Boy" and "The Matri D"

 

Mmm, wine.

We did an event last night at one of the wineries here, Dierberg/Star Lane. We were given four Bordeaux varietals they produce and each made our own blends, then each table picked the best from the table for the final throwdown, with the vintner choosing blind.

Our table won.

Man, we love living in wine country!!
