I'm thinking of taking an additional vacation to Vegas this summer since I'm being offered some really good comps at Caesars Palace. I've never stayed there before, so I had a few questions that I was hoping some knowledgable people on the board could help me with.

1.) How are the rooms in the Augustus Tower? Is the view nice? How are the beds? How is the jacuzzi?

2.) Is it worth it to get the Buffet of Buffets for the Bacchanal? How is the food selection?

3.) How are the pools? Any special amenities there?

4.) I'm a Platinum Total Rewards member. Do they have any special lines for Platinum members at check-in and the buffet? Do Platinum members get free early check-in like in AC?

5.) How is the Spa? We usually like to get a couples massage when we go to Vegas.

    Thanks everybody for your help.

    1. I only stayed at the Forum Tower but i do know the Augustus Tower has the best views.
    2. You won't be disappointed.
    3. The pools are awesome. The Venus Pool does allow Topless bathing. There are 8 pools to choose from, the Fortuna pool has swim up BJ.
    4. I am not a Platinum member, just Gold, but i do know the Platinum has separate lines for the Buffet and check in, also, the Augustus Tower has their own check in and valet service as well as direct access to the Pools. The resort fee is waived for Platinum members if you so choose.
    5. I've never been to the Qua Spa but most people from what i gather, are very pleased.

The even numbered rooms for the most part have a view of the Bellagio fountains. The others have a pool view and views of some of the north strip. The floor numbers are misleading, as Augustus rooms floors pick up where Palace leaves off. 23rd floor is really like the 4th floor. Make sure you get above 30 for better views. 36th is my favorite, because you can take the higher floor elevators and be the first stop.

For me the separate check-in for the Augustus towers is one of the best perks. I hate that huge rotunda free for all.

I've never been lucky, highly rated or insistent enough to get a good view.

There was a platinum line for the buffet last time I ate there, but that was months ago. The thing I enjoyed the best were these tomahawk style lamb chops. The seafood station must have been good, because it was always swamped.

My ex really enjoyed the spa, and it is in the same tower, so just an elevator ride away.

I don't recall there being access to the pool, though. I think that's the Octavius tower. It is nice that they have so many, so you can sort of suit your mood, and desire for maximum sun or some shade at different times during the day.

In all, it is a nice place.

Thanks for all the information, everybody. Anybody know if they allow early check-in? In Atlantic City, they don't charge an early check-in fee for Platinum or Diamond TR members. I'd kind of like to get there early so I can enjoy an extra day in the casino.

The early check in rules are confusing. Last I heard, they let Platinums check in a little bit early in some hotels but not at any time with no fee. The worst that would happen is that they say no and you have to check your luggage.

I went last June and stayed at CP. We checked in at 11:30am and had no problem. Spent the day at the pool, as other people have mentioned, and it was awesome. There are a couple better pools but you won't be disappointed. We ate at the buffet and it was amazing. The food was top notch and the service was great. Can't recommend it enough.

You will have a blast. Also - ate at Gordon Ramsey's Pub and Grill and it too was amazing. Order the free range chicken. Best chicken I've had.

Anyone can. I assume you simply purchase it at the first buffet you do in the 24 hours.

On the OPs #2 question. I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. The buffet itself is worth it from everything I have read. However if you are asking if the buffet pass is a good idea, do realize that there is a surcharge for going to the Bacchanal buffet. I think it is $15. Get the pass if you plan on going to 3+ buffets, otherwise it probably ends up cheaper just to pay for 2 buffets.

Vegas in general has lines dedicated to Platinum at all casinos for nearly everything. I can't answer the check in question though as I never arrive early enough for it to matter. Checkin, cashier, restaurants, buffets, ect... Platinum is treated very well. At least much better than the local CET properties. Not sure what perks you get in AC.

My sister in law went to Qua and would highly recommend it. I have yet to hear a bad review.

Lol. Sorry, I didn't explain well. Is the buffet of buffets something you can purchase without getting a hotel room or is it part of that package.

What is the price of it? Sorry, I'm at work so can't spend too much time on google.

Here's the info on it from the Total Rewards website:

Weekday price is $49.99. Weekend prices are $64.99 for Total Rewards members and $69.99 for non-members.

Upgrade your pass to include Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace and Village Seafood Buffet at Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino.

    Bacchanal Upgrade cost:
    Breakfast $15/visit
    Brunch/Lunch $25/visit
    Dinner $30/visit

    Village Seafood Upgrade cost:
    $15/visit irrespective of meal period

    Caesar's Palace Was Great!

I stayed at Caesar's Palace last year and was fortunate enough to be upgraded to the Agustus Tower. The room was huge and I had a great view of the Bellagio Fountains and Eifell Tower. The pool was very nice and being a platinum member, you get the resort fees waived. Try Payards for breakfast or dinner. And Gordon Ramsay Pub was great! If you re a beer drinker, make sure you try the Ennis & Gunn wiskey barrel aged beer. Sorry, I could not answer all your questions, but you will love Caesar's Palace......

I am not a buffet person, and relatively insensitive to restaurant pricing. However, at this point the buffet of buffets doesn't even seem like a bargain anymore. $94.99 including one dinner at Bacchanal--excluding wine? May as well go to regular restaurants.

Wow! Is this an accurate figure for Caesars dinner buffet ? If so, I definitely agree it's not a bargain at $95!!

No. Bacchanal is about 50 bucks on its own. We were talking about the 24 hour buffet pass. If you buy that but want ceasars included it's 95 dollars.

I can get Buffet of Buffets comped and then it's $15 for breakfast and $30 for dinner which I can comp out of reward credits. Seems worth it to me.

I appreciate more dining ideas, though, if people out there have them. I haven't stayed at Caesars before so I don't know all the dining options.
