We just got a really decent offer for our June trip from T.I. $40 a night w no resort fee. Surprising since I only signed up for a players card and ran a small amount through a VP machine.

We have decided to give them a try, but I am not real familiar with the property. Any suggestions on room, buffet or no buffet? Drink specials? Must see or do? And most importantly, how is the pool?

pool is surprisingly nice. hands down TI has the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in Vegas. buffet is ok, not great. i love tram to mirage, and gilleys.

you can earn comp rooms in future offers at TI just as easy as Harrah's and Flamingo and I think its a step up.

Ron I have stayed there various times last year was the last , go to the Breeze Bar and as long as you play drinks are free the bartenders are very good ,Frank and Dirk , the food is good and the buffet is ok use to be better now its a barbecue theme buffet , go to 2nd floor get the tram and in 1 minute your at Mirage , the buffet is real good there, and then later get the tram back, try the 20 trick and ask for a petite suite with a view and I sure they will give it to you
    GOOD LUCK

I have stayed in a standard queen one and petite suite. Petite suite is nicer but not a real suite, just a main area with 2 bathrooms (one with a bathtub with jets and the other with a shower). Last time I stayed, I staying at a room at the wynn and definitely saw a difference between the two.

There is one small bar beside the seafood shack that has drink specials depending on the hour. Drink service at machines are typically very good.

There is a Cirque show here as well but haven't seen it.

    Pool I found fairly nice.

Excellent advice, thank you! I am a VP player, so I am sure I will get to know Frank and Dirk!

    Oh, and two more things.

Under the stairs to Mystere on the way to the pool there are 2 computers to printout your boarding pass if you go that way, and you don't need to pay resort fees or give any info to get this for free. 2nd, they don't seem to care about early checkins, I typically check in around 11am

TI is kinda like an old shoe for me. It's not exactly pretty, but it's comfortable and gets the job done.

I like the rooms. Like was said before, comfortable beds and housekeeping left me alone when I put the DND sign up, but kept it clean too.

The buffet is fair to good. Nothing really sticks out except the last time we had their champagne brunch. They kept our mimosas filled and that made me happy.

Their coffee shop blows, well, more like the service stinks. We went in after midnight, tons of tables open and they said it was a 45 minute wait. We asked if we could order something to go and were told we'd have to use room service. We said the hell with it and went to Carnegie Deli at Mirage and took it back to the room.

Little Richies near the sports book is nice for a quick bite, but they should really be open much later.

The Breeze bar is nice. We sat in the comfy seats out front. Drink service was very good from the waitress and the prices were very reasonable.

The Pai Gow dealers were just going thru the motions last time and didn't make it a whole lot of fun. Craps never seems to drop below $10/$15 even with no one at the 2 tables they may have open.

They have a nice selection of slots, nothing way new or fancy, but entertaining. I can't say much for the VP.

Marketing offers are pretty good. I don't drop a lot of money there, but typically get 2 free nights during the week and reduced weekends. And I love they make resort fees optional for marketing offers.

Walgreens across the street makes a nice stop for supplies

    T.I. is not bad.
Just canceled my luxor reservation for the pacquiao - bradley fight, after i got the TI offer today.
$25 freeplay was included in weekend rates of $99.
$28 resort fee can be waived.
better then the $108 luxor pyramid rooms (excl. $28 resort fee).
after 2 nights TI, i have 3 comped nights at MGM. will have a "fabulous fight weekend" :)

If you get tired of the bar and want to wander there are a few STP JOB machines back by the "boat" (seafood shack). The machines seem to be pretty kind and it's right beside the door the CW's use so drinks come very very fast. I can't remember her name for the life of me right now but there is a CW in her 40's that works that section, she is terrific.

Spend any time playing and the offers will flow pretty fast. Last summer I put 3K coin in with a $300 loss and they have buried me with way more than $300 worth of comp rooms FP and food.

Stayed in a petite suite last fall for a convention. Room was comfortable, but the tv was pretty small and awkwardly wired to the wall. Compared to some of the newer properties the rooms aren't as nice, but the room was extremely clean and the staff very friendly.

The property is in a great location IMHO, close to just about everywhere you'd want to go on the north part of the strip.

Not super impressed with the dining options, but Venetian and Wynn are across the street, as is Walgreens and the fashion show mall.

A few decent-ish video poker machines available, compared to some other casinos on the strip.

Overall I think it's a pretty good deal for someone attending a convention at the Venetian/sands but not wanting to pay Venetian prices.

+1 on the free room offers. I gambled about an hour a night over 2 nights, and have gotten a number of free room+ free play offers.

    Ron,

We stayed at TI once and thought the std room was very comparable to the std rooms at the Mirage. The pool is decent...kind of a (very) mini Mirage pool but it's small and not nearly the tropical folliage the the Mirage has. I know you're a gambler too and honestly, I find the room seems to be a pretty small part of my overall hotel, food, gambling budget so I'm not sure I'd get too focused in on the "special offer" unless the resort just grabs you...you know what I mean? To me, where you stay can make a huge difference in how much you enjoy the whole Vegas vacation. (I don't know where you usually stay?) Just my 2 cents:wave: - Dino

I stayed there two weeks ago for two nights (Sun/Mon), both nights comped in a standard room (35th floor):

I really liked it (well, who doesn't like free rooms :) ), and the pool was surprisingly nice. Other points:

+ small fridge in the room
    + no resort fee
    + 11am check-in
    + good buffet
    + good breakfast/dinner at Kahunaville
    + tram connection to Mirage
+ quick walk to Walgreen's / Fashion Show Mall

I will definitely stay there again on future trips!

Thanks Dino. We have been staying at Bally's primarily because of the location, but then construction ran us off. We then tried Luxor the last three trips. It has been good to us, but we miss the north end of the strip. We kind of in search for a mid-level property to grab us.

I'll only comment on the buffet. I've only been to Vegas once, but for what it's worth, I considered it to be the worst buffet I've ever had.
There just weren't many choices (it was lunch) and what there was didn't taste that great.
I also like to make my own salad at a buffet. There they make it for you. No regular grated cheese only parmesan? No bacon bits?
No, I wouldn't have it again.
