My bizarre mind just thought of something.

If there are so many Elvis impersonators running around, how come you never see any Marilyn Monroe's?

Surely this is a gap that needs filling!!!:confused2:

I am pretty sure the reason behind the overabundance of Vegas "Elvi" (is that the plural of "Elvis"?) is because Elvis was so closely tied to Las Vegas - his first shows were played at the New Frontier in 1956 (he flopped), he starred in "Viva Las Vegas" and his early 1970s Las Vegas comeback shows at the International Hotel (aka Las Vegas Hilton aka Las Vegas Hotel) are legendary.

Marilyn doesn't have any similar strong ties to Vegas that I am aware of, other than being spotted ringside at the famous Rat Pack shows at The Sands during the 1960 filming of Ocean's Eleven. I am sure Legends in Concert or one of those similar impersonator shows must have (or had) a Marilyn Monroe impersonator at one time or another.

If a woman is good looking enough to be a Marilyn Monroe impersonator, she probably can do much better for herself than being a Marilyn Monroe impersonator

Yes, but a Marilyn Monroe impersonator is not always a woman!

While I was sitting in the back of The Plaza's Theatre --
watching The Rat Pack Show --
I turned in the darkness + saw the Marilyn Monroe (character )
seated at the empty table next to mine.
    *
She was waiting for her que to enter from the back of the theater.
I asked her if I could take some photos of her --
Totally, in character, she voiced a soft sexy "Yes".
I started laughing and grabbed my camera.
She did a couple different poses and I thanked her.

What a great time, I had at that show !
And later, I got photos with the cast out in the lobby.
With the Dean Martin character looking over my wife +
commenting ( in character ) "Holy Mackeral, there !":evillaugh

I happened to see a marylin impersonator outside of flamingo, last time i was in town. She was doing the seven year itch schtick right on those sidewalk grates that blow the warm air. The ones that security always has to shoo the bums away from.

I've seen several Marilyn's in Vegas; the last time was apt Cosmo in December and she was with an Elvis impersonator. I think I saw the same couple on the strip on a previous trip.

You can impersonate young Elvis, older Elvis, skinny Elvis, fat Elvis, many many fit the bill. Not nearly as many can pull off MM.

She has been doing that for 2 or 3 years now. Sometimes I wonder how much these people make!
