A while back I recall reading that at Harrah's the internet service that's included with the resort fee charge is NOT WiFi but only ethernet wire connected to your device. Reason I am asking is we have a Kindle which of course only connects via wireless connection.

Perhaps this has changed lately. Has one one stayed at Harrah's and used a wireless device to connect ? ? ?

I just got back from Harrah's yesterday and my iPad wouldn't connect to any Wi-Fi there at the hotel.

Summer 2012 was our last time at Harrah's as well, in a mini suite, and the internet was wired... but I know some people have said that some of the rooms have wireless.

Walk across the street to The Mirage. All MGM casinos have free wireless internet now.

Aug 2013 was there with friends. 3 rooms (different towers, different floors) were wired internet. You can get a travel router for like $20. That is what we used.

Yes you can get limited WiFi at MGM props. I had problems staying connected at the Mirage until I entered my name and room number.

There is also a McDonald's right next door to Harrah's. Most McDonald's offer free Wi-Fi. They aren't as fancy as going across the street to the Mirage, but that is another option.

Not to hijack the thread, but are there any CET properties that have wifi in the rooms? (I assume Caesars does...)

When I upgraded my home router I put the old one in my suitcase and just leave it there so if we are staying somewhere that doesn't have wireless internet we can just pull it out and hook it up.

Nowadays you can get a cheap basic wireless router for as little S $10-15 so even just buying one for the sake of keeping for trips is affordable.
